There was a fair bit of enthusiasm for Blair and New Labour back in 97, today there is no enthusiasm whatsoever for Starmer and Labour. One third of those eligible couldn't even be bothered to get off their arses and go to vote at all. Of those that did, two thirds didn't vote for Starmer. Just over 9 million out of 48 million registered voted for Labour, they barely have a mandate to govern.

You can thank Blair for the the loss of your cities, for the Manchester and so many other bombings, for all the car attacks and beheadings, the hundreds of thousands of Native women and girls raped by Muslim gangs, now the loss of your liberties, and tomorrow of your homeland, lives and freedom. Israeli soldiers killed an American woman protesting against settlements in the West Bank on Friday, two protesters who witnessed the shooting told The Associated Press. Two doctors said she was shot in the head.

The U.S. government confirmed the death of 26-year-old Aysenur Ezgi Eygi but did not say whether she had been shot by Israeli troops. The White House said in a statement that it was “deeply disturbed” by the killing of a U.S. citizen and called on Israel to investigate what happened.

It seems fairly obvious the intensification of the Israeli offensive in Gaza and the West Bank, coupled with the silence of Western powers and the UN in particular has set a dangerous precedent that will in the future justify the use of military force instead of diplomatic dialogue in any sort of global conflict. The days of Corbyn desired international diplomacy are dead.
