    Carsley’s England?

Same old, same old or a bright new dawn?

I didn’t get to see it myself.

Ok first half, two good goals but Ireland played well in the second half. Molumby had a decent game. (Which was all I was interested in tbf)

He doesn't sing the national anthem...so the papers will hound him out. England look solid all round but quite lethargy at times. Ireland not a good test to be honesty.

It was rubbish, not entertaining in the least, glad that I didn’t watch all of it. As usual, dreadful commentary, who was the moron doing the in-match ‘punditry’? The bloke sounded illiterate, can’t ITV find anyone capable of at least making a decent effort at speaking English?

I just watched a recoding of yesterday's game and it is plainly obvious that Harry Kane is not a patch on the player he was. TBH, I think that the style and pace of play England use now seems to pass him by. One of the other strikers needs to take the opportunity now of cementing their place in this line up.

    I agree.

We either need a proper CF replacement for Kane or interchangeable parts in the front four given that we don’t have a natural replacement for Kane.

At the moment I don’t see a young English CF anywhere in his type of “traditional” mould.

    That doesn’t bother me.

If someone doesn’t believe in royalty then I respect their decision not to be fake.

It’s exactly why we should have an anthem such as they have in rugby that isn’t linked to royalty and swearing allegiance to a jug eared, mumbling tw at.

No issues with him not singing the anthem, especially if he's got a voice like mine. Joking aside he never sang the Irish anthem when he played for them and never sang ours when boss of the U21s either.

Prefers to focus on the game rather than get caught in the pre match emotions of it. That's fine by me, I prefer football managers to concentrate on winning football matches not singing competitions.

    Ps.

As anthems go we've got quite a s hit one anyway to be perfectly honest. Doesn't exactly get the blood pumping.
