Odoffin worked hard at the back last term when called upon, and showed any doubters that were left that he's a real player. He did get away with some rash tackles and was lucky not to give a couple of penalties away over a short space of time. If we're battered with injuries he's the logical CB back up, but he's best as a settled defensive midfielder IMHO.

I'm liking the look of Kelly and think he could partner with Haks, hopefully setting the example of how to spread the ball better than Odoffin previously has.

No issues for me with the defensive end of the team (aside from a minor gripe with the failure to get proper cover at right back), just concerns me that we have very little creativity and not much in the way of natural, instinctive strikers

He was 50/50 in the last four seasons (one good, one average, rinse and repeat). He's allegedly nor match fit. He's evidently having a poor start.

Faith he can get better will quickly diminish because he's demonstrably capable of having "off seasons", and he's started very slowly, I don't think that's especially odd.

First game I’ve seen in person for a few years due to personal circumstances. I thought for a league one team we looked pretty good in parts. Rafferty was my favourite. An old school right back not trying to be a winger. Very comfortable on the ball and vocal as well. Kelly also quality. A proper boring holding centre mid who keeps things ticking. Phillips concerns me but maybe we were spoiled by the Viking being so good. Odoffin drop him and put tiehi in next game if fit. JCH ..made the goal. If he was more mobile he’d be playing prem or champs.Gim a break. Wilma clearly a confidence player from his body language. In Steve we trust. (P.S. you’re grounds too big for you…)

Wiltsmiller, he may well have done good in previous seasons but as a player gets older the skills they honed start to fade. I'm not saying JCH has lost his skills but he's looking awfully slow compared to the last time we saw him in a Millers shirt.

Evo still talks of JCH not being fully fit but, how long does he give it before he changes things around?

If a player is not 100% fit h3 doesnt play, that is what evans has said, so why play jch if he isnt 100%

Think his reference is to match fitness. Agree with an early post. Bench him and give him last 20 min
TBH I disagree with Evans. It's not match fitness, He's low on confidence and possibly doubting himself.. like the first time with the millers. Theirs huge pressure on him to perform and it's not working ATM. Confident he will come good

he is a good player, in fact the front 3 are decent players but it isn't clicking just yet, Nombe works very hard but my dog can control a ball better than him. he needs to get the ball, look for a simple pass and move into space, he tries to beat people too often and loses the ball. JCH shouldn't be captain that should be kelly or Rafferty. Evans needs to get JCH and Hugil fighting like mad for the shirt. Wilks is good but he fouls a lot and wanders in and out of games.

Unfortunately I can't see JCH getting any fitter than he is now, which is a big worry. If he's had over eight weeks to get tuned up to be match fit and still struggling, I think we need to make changes.Alternatively we play with two wingers and have JCH working in that penalty area as a poacher.I would bring back Hugill and play Hungbo alongside with Wilks and Nombe playing wide.Hopefully Tiehi will be fit to play on Saturday.Rafferty and James looked pretty solid and McCart had his best game yet.
