Agree Ronners, you're dead right in calling out nonsense.

The more I see us, the more I'm convinced we're a mid-table team this season. It's frustrating to watch. I think Reece James is our best attacker. Tongue in cheek comment, but not a million miles away from the truth. He's a class player by the way, probably our best signing this summer.

As for the goalkeeper, we need to retire Phillips to the bench. I'll be surprised if he makes a good save all season, he cannot be relied upon. Got to be Dawson.

Evans you need to plug the yawning gap on our midfield. An average team had far too much time and space to think about what they were going to do there. We need a midfielder who is going to rough opponents up and hit them where it hurts. We are a soft touch in midfield. As for the equaliser it was an absolute disgrace. A player is allowed to waltz all the way across our box without anyone laying a glove on him. How can this happen Evans? You are in charge of them. Time for a cross country run on Sunday morning for every man jack of them. And if I were TS you'd be joining in too

Burton were well worth their point. Three shots, one good save and two goals. They threw themselves about to block several of our goal attempts.
For all our attacking we only forced two saves from their keeper, and needed numerous chances to score two.
A quick moving game with lots of excellent play . I enjoyed it, despite the single home point.

We’re shaping up as a mid/lower mid L1 side - going to take some time to turn around the car crash of last season - forget promotion ambitions as there are numerous sides far better equipped than we are to achieve that. GK position, right back, creative midfield and reliable front hit man all look like a bit weak/lacking depth at present

I say what I want mate. Been all over the country over a lot of years but this team in my opinion is very poor.

What is there to support this season? The end goal is to get promoted. Even if we did, what do you think what will happen next season? Go down againfor sure

So as a Miller for 60 years and my father before me, I love the Millers, but right now I am really struggling to find what following the Millers means any more?
Does this mean blindly tuning in to see what’s happened a million times before. How many times do I want to be disappointed? Rinse & repeat.

I think the club needs another direction. Others may say be careful what you wish for. Before I depart this world I want to see us get to the Prem. Almost impossible I know, but in the current set up we cannot stabilise in the Championship, never mind compete in it, and nothing gives me any feeling that anything better will happen any time soon.

I’ll never stop loving the Millers but right now my disillusionment with football is at an all time low, and before you say “just leave then” just remember it’s a bit like disowning your own family. You can’t go follow another team, hence my comment about the Titans, who are a ROTHERHAM team, my home town.

I believe I’ve earned the right to criticise so please note anyone who fancies telling me to “just go - end of” ask yourself what following Rotherham United means to you. Only then might you have any idea of what I feel.

As always a heartfelt and well thought out post Nardendee. However I feel they will have to perfect an elixir of eternal life for you to see us in the Prem, and even that might not be long enough

Now that's better, I don't agree with you saying this team is poor, and I keep saying we are very much a work in progress, but at the moment I can only see a mid table finish with the hope of a play off place at best. I do agree with you saying the club needs another direction to succeed more but how a club our size can achieve that currently without breaking FFP rules I really don't know, but the championship will be our premier league for now. Being able to stabilise in the championship, if and when we get there again, is our next step, yes it's frustrating following a team like ours, but we have to keep trying to better ourselves, but in football the only way to do that seems to be to spend more money, which at the moment is something that we can't do without putting the future of the club at risk. SE rushed recruitment. Can only see Rafferty & James who at their ages are only short term fixes adding anything to the side. Rest odd ones on occasions will flatter to deceive.
