Did you see Jimmy snub the hun Andy Halliday at the end of the game. Fecking hilarious
Jimmy has done his homework when it comes to the huns.
I take it that Jimmy Thelin has broken the record for the best start for an Aberdeen manager with 10 wins out of 10?
Something and nothing - JT went to shake hands with Well’s back room staff just as Halliday was getting up from the subs bench and got in the road, saw JT’s hand out and assumed it was aimed at him, stuck his hand out and JT just carried on shaking hands with the management team.
Yet another game where I’m loving Nielsen just organising everyone and taking no nonsense. He's just the epitome of a canny pro. Love him.
Big Pape looking unplayable in spells. Earlier in the season someone (DeeDon maybe) said they could see him being a cult hero and I was baffled didn’t see it. But they were spot on. Fair play to the guy after being shunted to Norway. Funnily enough Robson said they thought that he’d be a cult hero when they signed him.
Croatian (must learn how to spell his name) looks technically very good. Felt we floundered a bit when he went off, and don’t like Clarkson in that role, I’m all for giving everyone a shottie and being adventurous but game management could have been bit better last 20 minutes. First time I noticed the absence of Shinnie.
Another semi assist for Morris after not quite clicking for Keskinen - get impression he’s almost trying too hard but obviously talented.
And a shout out for the sometimes overlooked Molloy. When he came in, I assumed he was one for development given level he was coming from but the boy has surprised me. For the most part he’s been excellent. He’s almost been overlooked in how showy some other players have been but he’s been a brilliant signing so far.
Other than Morris for goal subs didn’t do much and full backs not particularly great today but 10/10 so I’ll leave it at that.
Up the bloody dandies
Finally is there any word on what’s up with Shinnie?
10 wins out of 10 is some start for our new manager.
Reading about Motherwell greeting about deserving a point, bullsh*t, we had the best of the play, just let ourselves down with our decision making in the final third. Keskinen is possibly the most wasteful with the ball. He has good control and pace, but over enthusiastic to do it all when a pass to a teammate is the better option. I'm sure that will come, but he is exciting on the ball.
Ruby and Molloy looking good in the centre and a decent partnership is blossoming. Nilsen is a calming influence in the middle and did expect blood to be spilled when O'Donnell pushed him down in the first half, but he shrugged it off.
Missed Shinnie though in my opinion. We haven't quite got that presence he offers on the park to drive us on when required, but take nothing away from the loon Palaversa who came in for him and had an excellent game.
Papa Gueye was excellent and hardly did anything wrong today. All our best moves were through him and did a power of work all over the park. His goal was excellent.
You can't not want the loon to do well.
The display before kick off shows how much the club try to create an atmosphere at our games. The wife (no, nae pictures) was at the game today for the first time in quite a few years and commented on the difference from the last time she was their and it is like night and day from the Milne era.
Just seen the PG (first) goal on TV. Didn’t know he could run like that and a brilliant reverse finish at the keeper’s near post. Top league goal scorer. Who'd have thought it!?
