Thread: 📝 George Abbott...signs for season long loan

    He's class
    I watched him closely yesterday
Bags of energy, spots danger and rarely gives the ball away
He looks like a senior player already despite only starting his second game in men's football

Reminds me a bit of when Ryan Yates was on loan in that respect. Plays like a senior pro despite being a kid. Love how he's great on the ball but also slams into tackles all over the park. Cracking prospect.

Seems like an excellent loan acquisition. Looking forward to seeing him play.

I unfortunately missed the Accrington game as was away but watched what I could on my phone but it’s feeling a bit like a Grealish loan. The major point as you said seems like he’s beyond his years mind wise, hope he plays next Sat as looking forward to seeing him playing in the flesh.

Yeah I could tell on his debut the lad has got something and I called his performance incredible which someone questioned, it was incredible for a young lad to step into a tough environment in league two and not be bullied.

He is going to have a decent career as long as he don’t get a nasty injury he has all the tools as a modern day midfielder.

Me too. Have heard good things about him local to where I live. If I can get a ticket (and the site seems different and significantly crapper than last year as keep being unable to choose and then being unable to pay).

I've watched him twice now and it definitely seems more like Ryan Yates than Grealish. He's decent on the ball, but the most impressive aspect of his play is his ability to tackle.

Sorry didn’t explain meant Grealish wise in that he may well go and play elite level wise, I.e comfortably playing for a top 6 prem side or better.

Very similar to Yates in terms of his athleticism and natural ability. Like Yates he’s also a driving force on taking us forward.
What’s very promising is that we’ve probably played two of the more physical teams in Accrington and Bromley and he’s more than risen to it.

Tremendous start. You could tell early on against Accrington that he’s really got something. The Yates comparisons are strong. Looks a bit better on the ball.

Got a distinct feeling we’ll be praying for him to stay in January a la Grealish and less successfully Yates.
