Very disappointing to only get a point yesterday I’m sure SE had targeted this as a win but I think Burton are better than their position suggests we’ll see
Negatives first most of which have already been raised
It was alarming the gaps that were appearing in our midfield yesterday and maybe it’s because Kelly wasn’t there? We shouldn’t have to rely on him someone should be able to step in what is wrong with McWilliams? Didn’t make the bench even
This then puts pressure on the defence agreed with above can we put Raggett there who is an old fashioned centre back a la Woody
I put the other day about maybe putting Humphries in midfield even if only temporary he’s a lovely passer and started the move for our first goal he’s positioning is good and could do a job in Kelly’s absence
Our set pieces are poor Powell the main culprit
We seem a team of individuals in the forward positions
Positives we are now scoring goals and hopefully should improve
Can we possibly have a bit more width Hungbo would provide this and as has been said should have been on earlier
Can we give a chance to Osong who doesn’t seem to have had an opportunity yet rather than Hugill all the time don’t know if it’s his attitude?
Holmes ditto as per Hungbo last 20 minutes would have stretched Burton can only think it’s our lack of midfield cover that contributed to our not putting Hungbo on earlier hope not replacing Rathbone does not come back to bite us

That could be a good call regarding Humphries. I have no doubt he would have the capacity and calmness to play in midfield. Rarely have I seen a player in our colours with such composure.

We have no midfield no corner taker. No width at least one dodgy keeper. No big forward up to the job or free kick taker apart from we're ok!

SE should have never been brought back it’s going to set us back even further than we were.

I remember a bit of fuss about him when the season ended. Is he the type of player we should have been investing in instead of the old stalwarts of League 1 like JCH?
Reading the Burton forum orsi has been pants for the first 4 games. Could be a one off or he's just finding his feet in the side. TBH I thought jch, nombe and wilka looked more threatening than he did

The lack of quality in this squad is the reason, we will not get promotion.Up front there is no pace and no threat, there seems to be no creativity in the midfield and no leadership. We have sold Kioso,Johannson and Rathbone, all good players for over two million. After each sale, we were told money received, would go in signings for replacements.None have this happened,we haven't spent a tenner on anybody.Where is the ambition?

I'm not sure we were as bad as some are making out even though some of our play was pedestrian and the final result was disappointing.
However, in reality we could and probably should have scored two or three in the first half hour and things would have looked so much different then.
I doubt if Evans has been able to play his strongest team yet because of injuries and maybe he doesn't actually know what it is either.
What was painfully obvious on Saturday was the lack of width in our play together with an absence of creativity and drive from midfield.
Despite those shortcomings we still created plenty of chances but once again failed to take them. Maybe someone is going to get a hammering soon and maybe that will be the big spending Brummies next Saturday? 🙂

Even city fans say Nombe wasn't a goal scorer - yet we paid a million pounds for him

And if that statement doesn't tell you what is exactly wrong with Rotherham United...I don't know what will
