    Aberdeen v Spartans

League Cup business for the Dons on Saturday at home to League Two Spartans.

Cup football is always tricky, but I fancy the Dons to book a place at Hampden with a 2-0 win.

I forgot to add that this is a 5:30pm kick-off at the Cathedral of Football, and it's on the telly. Probably Premier Sports.

I believe this is the first time we will have played The Spartans, although the lassies team have played the lassies equivalent many times.

They gave Keith a right pummeling in the Scottish Cup not so many years back, and looked at least two divisions ahead of us. I’ve no idea what their status, position, and form are now, but I’d back us against most Scottish teams right now. We should beat them with a bit to spare.

    I think we'll win 4-0!!

I reckon they will take us by surprise and score in the first few minutes, then we'll wake up and win 7 or 8-1.

It's not just the dons on a brilliant run, you are on a great winning run of Match Threads as well min, well done and keep it going

Anything can happen in cup games, but I do fancy the dons to go about their business and will be a safe and comfortable 3-0 win.

Don’t really care how we win this one, so long as we do. A crap 1-0 will do.

I’ll swap that for some poor results in October if need be. Let’s just not mess up this run next weekend.

Agreed. We need to keep Swaddon wrapped up in cotton wool to keep this excellent run going.

If we fail to win a game (unlikely, I know), then don't put the blame on me.

    Too late for that min.

Your picture is already being circulated to ensure maximum boos are aimed at you when defeat does eventually come our way.

Going on opinions at the games I've been at, I suspect Peter Ambrose will be this season's chief target of the boo brigade if our form goes belly up.
