Far from getting ahead of ourselves but we’ve got as good a chance of promotion as any - if we were to make it this season it would be a ‘nice’ round decade away from League One.

This is a typical game that last season we would loose big crowd, very important game, and being inform so high expectations.
I hope I am very wrong but cant see that changing, they have only conceded 2 goals,we looked very shaky first 15 mins last week, same defensive errors creeping back in!! possible attendance over 12000, If we win this then I believe we can go on to win the title, if we loose I am concerned the bubble will be burst, and we will have a poor run.

Based on current gates, we're 4,000 higher than the division average and at least 3,000 above anybody outside the top 7. To not finish in a play off spot at least with those numbers backing you would be a poor show.

Note Bromley. Not bad crowds considering they hadn't won promotion into tier 6 until 2007 and not into tier 5 until 2015. Potential there to consolidate and do as well as Stevenage who mostly averaged less than 3k in the 4th tier.
Painful memories for many being in that temporary stand that day being so close to surviving with a few minutes of the game remaining and then within the last few minutes the game turned on its head. Where does the time go as it will be ten years ago at the end of this season as well.
Let’s hope by the return visit to Gillingham in February next year we are looking on course to challenge for promotion back to league one our natural level for me. A good start so and promising but remaining cautiously optimistic as there is a very long way to go.
It would indeed be disappointing to not finish in the playoffs with that level of backing.
More importantly holy smoke averaging over 10,000 at home games in League Two and against two of the poorest supported sides in the division without any offers.
How much credit do these owner’s deserve UTM? These attendance numbers under the Brothers are almost unbelievable.
I never thought we would see it to be honest.
I want to go back in time with pictures of the stands near full and say to Pavis (or better still Dunnett), "just do blanket low price offers 3/4 times each season and you will start to reap the rewards within 5 years. Don't complicate the offers, make it simple, do it for all stands and publicise it well. Oh and FFS give Howard Wilkinson the pay rise he asks for."
We really ought to be finishing in the top 7 this season.
On the Gillingham game, it's our first real test of this season as I think they will be challenging for top 7 but I don't think they score enough goals to challenge for top 3. It's the kind of test we failed miserably so many times last season so I hope for better on Saturday, a draw won't be a disaster but we're at home so I hope for another win.
Can't believe I'm missing this game...In Sorrento for other side of the family wedding...Bloody Italians...
