    Nonsense.

I don't agree with their wages but a coal-miner would be in A and E after doing just one training session with Man City.

These people are hyper fit and make enormous sacrifices and sweat blood to keep at the top of their game.

I think they should strike. The quality of football will deteriorate if we don't reduce the matches

For context (and I know people hate that, for some reason), there are further issues for teams involved in the new FIFA club cup nonsense, and better teams could have their players playing through the calendar, with cup runs and European competitions in the mix. Given that we have another squad that seemingly can't stay fit and perform at a mediocre level over 40-odd games, there's clearly no comparison to playing at elite levels in as many as 80-odd. If anything, Rotherham's fitness issues suggest Rodri has a point about what is sustainable for a top athlete.

The wages are a joke, and I'm not interested in advocating uncapped wages for them, but there are people far richer with far less ability and expectation around their neck who I'd ask to 'shut up' before getting to people in a game as fickle as football.

the players are paid that much money because the people watch the sport, supply and demand. In the USA the NFL players get large sums of money and play a lot less games, I think Rodri has a point the number of games is excessive, however those games are created by bureaucrats that have an history of corruption within their organisations, they are suppose to manage the game, but like all uncontrolled bureaucracies money corrupts.
