Working in a school, I'm so pleased that I went through school with phones not a thing - they started coming in when I was year 11.

The **** some kids go through at school, that then carries on all through the eve at home via social media on their phone.

When I was at school, you left school and it was done, nothing till next day and most of the time by that stage things had calmed down.

True. I don’t think my grandfather’s generation would’ve bothered risking their lives fighting in WW2 if they knew it would all come to this.

The political classes have betrayed these brave men who fought for the future they thought the nation would have.

I just watched 'One for the Road' the last Grand Tour.

Quite sad to think that after 22 that things have changed.

The BBC perverts hated the 3 stars and did everything they could to get rid of them. They destroyed the BBC's No.1 selling international show because of personal agendas.

The people of the UK own the BBC and Pay the license fee on pains of legal action fund it via the mandatory license fee.

Who gave those Executives the right to destroy something the vast majority of the nation and hundreds of millions of fans around the world loved?

This one event is endemic of how the entire nation has been highjacked by the Oxford and Cambridge toffs and perverts.

Politics, Media and higher education have been infected with the virus of the cold war. 'The Long March' is a psy-ops set up by the commis to destabilise Western Society.

    Boy isn't it effective!

Things need to snap back or we're lost as an nation and as a culture.

Only the true British people can save the country but it’ll be a very tough battle. Anyone who wants to protect the British culture is labelled a racist/right wing and almost all institutions are unified in trying to destroy it.
Anyone who frowns upon or attacks someone for waving the Union Jack on British soil should be deported immediately whether a British citizen or not.
It’s common sense - you clearly don’t like the country, so leave.

It’s happened alongside the time when people don’t listen to experts, they believe everything they see (that supports their point of view), and everyone’s opinion is supposed to be as valid as the others… when research is 30 mins on Google.

All sides of the divide are guilty of it mind, but it’s fostered a kind of extremism where people are either a nazi or they are woke…. and both side can be as easily triggered and be ‘snowflakes’

If this topic is gonna end up another right v left bunch of *******s I’m gonna leave it there and come back to the site in a month or so.

    No mate, not at all.

I left the UK because I didn't see how I could get to where I wanted to go in life. My folks are in their mid 70s both retired. Dad was an engineer & mum a SRN nurse. I was the first of my family to graduate university as Broadcasting engineer. I moved to London for work and people I met asked 'What do you do?' whilst out in Soho with my colleagues, Editors, Producers, Directors. When I said 'I'm a broadcasting engineer' the person/people asking's face would twist and screw up like they were horrified.

The move away from the values of what made Britain so great. The 'Culture' of science, engineering, invention and technological the advancement the entire world takes for granted today across all disciplines from construction, medical science to modern telecom tech. Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet. An Englishman. Everything we used today was invented by us.

The have been betrayed by the Political class. Those know nothing idiots both red or blue have shafted the people and let the country fall apart by letting their school and uni lawyer & accountant friends manipulate industry to take give them all the power and control.

Those who can 'state a case' based on nothing, the ones who were made fun of at school found ways to change rules to stop those who are 'doers', get things done. It's a real shame

Nothing to do with left or right, that's just a game they set the population to play whilst they carry on staking the decks in their favour. Cashing in on the things that evil people have done, white, black, brown, using it to take more control.

There is us good people in the middle, 'the silent majority' for want of a better phrase have been hijacked as you said by the extreme voices.

Add to that the MSM falling over themselves to 'be first' not 'be right' publishing more and more provocative articles to maintain revenue. Truth be damned.

    Just cluster f*ck

However, like a ship on the ocean. I 100% believe that HMS Britain will right itself. There has to be a 'snap' back to decency and normality. I genuinely have faith in the good people of our Great Nation and believe we will see a better future.

Good times are coming gents. Both on the football field, in the city, across the nation & the wider Geordie Nation too.

Keep the Faith, Howay the Lads, lasses of all shapes, sizes, colours and faiths.

God bless us all, we are united, NEWCASTLE UNITED FC

In that "grand tour one for the road" it was pointed out 100 years ago Britain built a railway through the spine of Africa from S Africa to Egypt, briges, tunnels, through desert and jungle, hewt rain, hostile natives. Same in India for that matter.

Our currrent clowns can't build a line from London to Manchester on budget.

A tour guide at the colloseum in Rome told us during a tour that the current day italians couldn't be further removed from the Romans 2000 yesrs ago. I think that is true about us vs the victorians.
