Stopped that happening

It's more what didn't happen during Trump's four years imo. Despite confident Lefty predictions that Trump would start WW3, he didn't. The Middle East passed a relatively calm four years, there was even a rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Israel in the offing, it's all kicked off now though since Trump left office. There was no war in Europe, Putin kept his head down, he's not been so circumspect since Biden took over, as thousands of dead Ukrainians and Russians could testify. The Afghan adventure was being wound down steadily under Trump, the debacle all happened on Biden's watch. China and N. Korea were relatively benign actors on the world stage for four years, and why not, Trump and the madman in Korea were besties, I doubt Taiwan and S. Korea feel as secure now as they did four years ago, in fact the whole world is a far more dangerous place now than it was when the Donald was POTUS.
