    o/t thai holidays

If ever you get the chance, please visit this island. The people are wonderful and the island is awesome. No cars except taxis and mopeds.
I'm back next trip, after I view my new villa build in Khon Khaen.
Believe me, you will come back enriched.

I cannot praise it enough sir. I didn't even show you some of the beaches in that video either. They are heaven, with calm, clear warm water.
But the people there are something else. Everyone, will greet you like a member of the family. No cars, hardly any traffic.

    Here, have a look

I have visions about spending a lot of time somewhere like that when I can retire. Hopefully not too far in the future.

Me too, having a villa built now in Isaan. Will live there 6 months a year. Probably full time eventually. Drive down the coast to Larm Sok for the ferry. Easy.

Probably should hurry up before the High Explosive starts flying

Assume our winter months are nice there. Love to spend time in warmer climate in our winter, other than christmas I'd hibernate through winter if I could.

Best for us, is October to March. Dry with odd rain, most comfortable heat. After March till June, gets the hottest, no rain. Then you get wet season. Warm but boy can it rain.

Could you give us an estimate on the cost of building a nice abode?

I am having a 3 bed, 3 bath build, with outside kitchen area and car port. 8 x 4 swimming pool. Border wall and gates. £55k
This does not include the land though, as it on the Mrs' land. 1 rai of land, (around half a football pitch)
