Your wife can get off the 22 bus at Wishart Centre from where it's just a short walk to the Gallacher Retail Park. I also suffer from some knee pain but find that staying active actually helps alleviate the discomfort.

I've had another think. How about rather than you driving your wife to M&S then returning home to await the phone call why not stay there and help your wife with the shopping then drive home? That's most likely the solution I'd come up with as it would save on both time and fuel, is the most environmentally friendly solution if public transport is a problem and allows you to spend some time with the good lady.

I always go shopping with my wife, that way I can get all the little things that I need but she never thinks of - like peanut M&Ms for example.
Wait till your are 75 years old and your knees are painful then you might change your tune.
Tramping up and down hills in Scotland will certainly not help your knees.

I enclose details of the devolved matters which are the responsibility of the Scottish Government and the reserved matters which are the responsibility of the U.K. Government under the rules of the 1998 Scotland Act. https://www.deliveringforscotland.go...uk/devolution/

Today is our 44th wedding anniversary.
Marriage is a like supporting Dundee FC. You have ups and downs but you stick with it for life.

My knees have been painful for years. I find walking is the best way to alleviate the pain.

I actually agree with that. And the bus?

I use the bus when I need to as I have a National Entitlement Card.
My GP told me to use my age to my advantage.

You really are the master of deflection. Why doesn't your wife get a bus down to M&S and then you pick her up later? Or why don't you drive her down, stay with her and do the shopping with her?
