    McDonald, Tsaroulla - Decent

Ness, M.Cisse, Reynolds, Adiefeh, Nyirenda - Okay

Hinchy, Slocombe, Martin, Gill - Poor

    Brown, Cundy - Hopeless

Not good was he. That's exactly the form he has shown the majority of the time in the past reading up. Seems a bit of a panic signing. If he is here in Feb I will be surprised hope he proves me wrong. He looks very very lightweight. Brown another one who just does not seem up for it at all. Just parading round and doing nothing. You can sort of see why we are giving these players a go especially Brown, but I would prefer it if we just gave one or two of the young uns a leg up. At least their heart will be in it.

Pretty much all were as they don't have a game at the weekend due to international call ups. Not excusing that performance however.

Brown wasn’t great, but this system we’re playing is absolute death spiral stuff for the lone striker. Unless you score there’s nothing you can do to get involved in the game, everyone is miles away, absolutely no runners off you at all.

All I took from this game is how poor our summer recruitment has been.
Hinchy, Cundy, Browne, Martin all look like a signing you make after missing out on 3 others. Add Grant into that mix and a lack of attackers signed.

Given the squad tonight, I can’t say I’m overly surprised at that to be honest.

Obviously SM will have wanted to win, but Plan A was to clearly get as many minutes into the squad players as possible. So mission accomplished for Slocombe, Ness, Cundy, McDonald, Tsaroulla, Hinchy, Martin and Brown.

Not surprised any tempo died after 70 and the introduction of a few young lads from the bench. That’s not slight on them either, it’s just the way it goes.

Impressed with Ness, McDonald and Tsaroulla. Gave the ball away a bit, but I think Hinchy has got plenty about him too, just needs to be worked with.

I understand, to a small an extent, the issues aired with Brown, but he’s he no real service and support. I think he’ll have a part to play for us.

Excellent to see so many young players get good minutes too. Impressed with Adiefeh. Cisse looked lively. Thought Nyirenda had a good 45 too.

Hinchy is great. Played well tonight and was unlucky to lose his place earlier in the season from the proper team. Will be a good player for us.

I would guess we sold ML & didn't have a replacement lined up & when we went looking were held to ransom.

I like Hinchy. Gave the ball away a few times, but he always wants it. He gets stuck in well too. Not scared of that side of things.

His movement off the ball is improving too, gives much better angles for the centre halves than he did early on.
