Four home wins this calendar year ,thats terrible
I remember Jatta having four chances against Port Vale but he was barely involved in anything else. Saturdays game plan was, get down the sides, get the ball in. So no dig at Jatta, just the way we set up.
Brown tonight’s got inverted wing backs, so no early crosses or crosses of any note, two kids behind him and a kid and Hinchy behind them.
He was isolated and had a fair few aimless balls shelled in his direction.
Jatta’s been playing with the proper players to be fair, not a selection of committed but very inexperienced kids.
It’s not particularly a defence of Brown anyway, I’d have liked to see him do more, just get why he looked frustrated. More a thing with how we’re playing - with one upfront you have to get people close to him, running in behind him etc and we’re not getting enough of it whether it’s the first team or reserves.
I think that winning home games is becoming a real problem , that has to be down to the manager ,i am sure that the analysts at the club are looking at this , i think we will get a shock annoouncement soon that he has been sacked
Ok my prediction lets see if i am right
I actually like Hinchy, don’t forget the lads 21 so hopefully will get better.
McDonald and Ness looked decent which probably isn’t a surprise as their previous clubs fans rated them.
Cundys not been great, guess time will tell on him.
Brown not great, guess it’s the same again let’s see how he gets on.
Martin seems to have something and I think it’s probably unfair to judge him too much, he was a free agent training on his own a couple of weeks ago.
I don’t think much can be taken from the actual game.
It has though exposed our problem up front. I am sure that yesterday SM said that Scott would start tonight. Can’t imagine that he wasn’t picked if fit.
Regarding Brown, he looked isolated but frustrated. Not sure that playing the loan striker is his game.
