His reply to me, post #1871, seems to point to him not accepting his post was defamatory. That, IMO, is his problem. Even when something is explained, factually, he doesn't seem capable of taking on board that he was wrong, that his thinking on the subject needs a little or a lot of tuning.
I deleted it and offered him the chance to have it undeleted if he could prove his assertion NOT to be a lie. He declined, and as (pointed out by you) it was potentially defamatory I didn’t wait for a ‘second tick’ from yourself.

Anyway good news for pensioners, if they stop buying the Daily Mail, over a year they can more than recoup what they lose in the winter fuel allowance! Seems a win win to me.

MA I had let it drop, and told Andy so in PM.

Here is what I quoted to him

I didn't reply because it wasn't worth it. I never said he didn't have an uncle in the Falklands, but its really conincidental, that he didn't even know Antelope was bombed and not torpedoed. If he really was that passionate, anyone would be well aware. Personally, its a Starmer anecdote written all over it, like Millands bacon sandwich and Camerons pasty. Trying to look normal.

    Ooooooops own goal number one.
Louise Haigh upsets an investor, not a good move.

100 days in and an Independent analyst on Newsnight describes Labours governing as a dogs breakfast. I love that phrase. They ought to put Mick Lynch and John Swinney in charge, both much more focussed and capable than Starmer, and I don’t especially agree with their politics. What a shambles so far

Don't think Starmer was happy with her, but they are worthy of criticism for their treatment of employees.

As it’s approaching that time of year I have to say, ‘you’re beginning to sound a lot like’...Tricky!!
Perhaps it would be best to pause and ponder on what went before…if not for the whole of the previous fourt*en years then at least for the last six…and that’s four prime ministers who all left either in tears or under a very sizeable ‘cloud’.

and you sound like Starmer and Rayner, lol 14 years of Tory rule blah blah blah
Its all they ever say. So I will say it again, LABOUR are in charge now, not the Tories. This is supposed to be a honeymoon period of joy and relief. But it isn't. They piss someone else off every week and it gets worse every week. I read this morning, they think its now ok to import biomass from North Korea and Afghanistan to fund their green propaganda. WTF are they on? How is importing biomass, better than using the coal under our feet?
Also, if Afghanistan is now good enough to trade with, perhaps the multiple thousands of Afghani men can go back?

Perhaps another no brainer, from Angela Rayner will halp you. A bit of comedy genius. "proud northerner and Basic instinct fan"
