Glad however that you understand the comment about mental health. rA seemed to miss, and I hope you didn't, the point that such insults may be water off a duck's back to the intended receiver, but may impact those in hearing/reading proximity. Its something I'm fairly hot on, for example I've modified a bad habit I had (in fact I think I've used it on here) of 'picking on' correcting syntax and grammar errors - 90% is just laziness but I've decided to suppress my own smugness for the sake of the 10% who may have a genuine problem such as dyslexia
Hmmm. I didn’t miss it Andy, I’m just inclined to agree with Swale on this one, which will doubtless cause you much mirth.
As regards Tricky I do remember him being vile to a fellow Forest supporter both on here and his own forum. Can’t remember the guy’s name - it was a while ago - but he was clearly getting on a bit and, from what I gathered, he wasn’t very well either. Tricky’s ‘clock’s ticking’ jibes were relentlessly unkind so my sympathy is limited.

He also tried it with me when he and another former poster got stuck into me for post after post about being a retired teacher. Tbh it didn’t make the slightest difference to me…water off a duck’s back…but it got personal and is something that you and GP were all too keen to do too. (Wonder why it’s always the same three.) I’ve no idea what the relevance of occupations, or former occupations, is, but it was all designed to undermine and you’re maybe not so squeaky clean yourself in that respect.

On the subject of grammar. It’s easy to pick up on the ‘weaknesses’ of others and, imo, being literate is indeed a crucial tool, but you’re fortunate to have a decent command of language and might do well to remember that those with ‘difficulties’ often have at least as much to offer in terms of common sense contributions. As an example I give you ‘Mista’…a much missed (imo) former poster with very eccentric/poor literacy skills who made more sense - about both football and ‘life’ - than most.

No its beyond mirth now rA, and beyond either using the overused epithet or even commenting on, its just expected. At least you're loyal, you did it on page 1 of the Brexit thread. End of discussion point if you can do the same

I'm aware of Tricky's 'previous' but also some of the 'previous' of other forum members

Not sure you'll find a lot of reference from me to your former profession, certainly not from a 'joining in' perspective. Not sure what your point is about 'squeaky clean' but I'll let it pass.
Also not sure if you're agreeing with me or lecturing me on the grammar thing, but coincidentally it was, omongst other things, mista's quirky posts that got me thinking about my 'cleverdickyness' re language use. I agree with MA about of/have, there are a number of such teeth-grinding examples but I made a conscious decision to let as much as possible pass, no-one's prefect

Sorry AF…I have no idea what you’re referring to. What did I do, over eight years ago, on ‘page 1 of the Brexit thread’?

The poster you was looking for was Basie.
Yes the very same old man, who used many various nasty insults on many posters, including DCM ones like Jacksdale.
In the end he was undone, after I requested an IP address sweep, and it was uncovered he was using 8 different user names in his little game. They banned him.
Be careful who you ally yourself with.

‘Be careful who you ally yourself with’. Is that really how you see it? Bit childish don’t you think?
On forums there are people we generally agree with and others we’re more likely to disagree with. Some we respect and others we don’t. Nothing to do with being ‘allies’.
In Basie’s case…I know little about the bloke. Don’t recall him being offensive but I do recall concluding that he was getting on a bit and didn’t seem to be in the best of health. He certainly wasn’t an ‘ally’ but I did think your repetitive ‘clock’s ticking’ jibe said a lot about you.

Oh behave, it was mild to what he dished out. The saying goes, can't take it, don't give it.
The things he implied at Jacksdale, from basically calling him a nonce and Nazi were telling. Then the fact he had 8 aliasas, giving out his ****e seems to have gone over your head.

You’re right…all goes over my head…don’t remember Jacksdale (before my time maybe), no idea what the point of ‘8 aliases’ was…or why you’re on a DCFC forum come to that.
