O/T Pesky Mice at it Again

Pesky mice at it again in my loft.

Last year some mice ate a full box of Cabury's Heroes chocolates, which
I duly caught them in the end.

Now some more visitors, they have a different taste this year.
I put wife's cigarettes in a box in the loft last Thursday, from our holidays,
went up in the loft to put cases back & saw the mice had been at the cigs.

The mice had been having a go at eating about 5 packs of 200 cigarettes,
there were cigs stuck up out of packets, with tobacco broke up, wife
worked it out that she had lost around 120 cigarettes.
That works out the mice have used 20 fags a day, more than the wife
    smokes.
I'm going to set traps now, at least they left my cigars alone.

.......then there would be winners all round.

NB. Not so long since back, I went into the garage to retrieve my fishing gear. Subsequently, I had forgotten to put my fish bait (small dog biscuits) in a secure zip up bag and just left them in the bottom of another bag. As I go to pick the bag up two mice shot off but, one was still in the bottom of the bag as I lifted it.

I quickly gave the family pet a shout, a large Norwegian Forest cat, and I held the bag down for him to see inside so he could mince the mouse. The cat just sat there staring, the mouse must have thought, 'oh s.hit!' then the cat just walked away.
The mouse makes a dart and a sharp exit out of the bag under the air con unit never to be seen again.....some bloody mouse catcher!

Can't be too hard on him though as he once presented to us on the living room carpet, a perfectly formed, not injured, mouse as a gift to us........they're so loving at times.

Put a bucket up there half full of water. They will climb in and can’t get out.
I do it every winter in the garage. Job done

I presume you fill it to the top and not just an inch in the bottom. Nobody likes wrinkly bath toes
