    Burn

Looks like he has had his contract extension clause activated. No longer says he'll be free in summer of 2025.

Contracted till 2026 according to various sites.

Good move as far as I'm concerned.

Top class move. I'll bet a few clubs were eyeing him up thinking they would get a bargain.

BDB is a corner stone of the squad and a pillar of power at the back when on the pitch and a rock of determination off it.

    Great to have him onboard.

Great to see, I assume the intention is to have cover for Botman and keep his personality in the dressing room and on the training pitch.

Also assume there is no such clause in Schar’s contract… it’s good he’s said he’d like to finish his career here (I always figured he might want to wrap it up in Italy for some reason) but I guess it comes down to him and the club agreeing what wage and how long an extension.

Would also strengthen our hand massively in any approach for Guehi, or preferably another better AND cheaper RCB, if we had Schar confirmed.

This lad is the classic old cliche of " he bleeds black and white," and for me, it's a no-brainer to tie him to an extension.
