I’d give it to Bass, Bedeau and Platt as a joint award. They’ve been brilliant and solved our big problem from last season.

It’s a problem we’ve barely seen that solid base with our attack as it can be yet with Jatta’s concussion issues and then Jones’ injury, but hopefully we can keep in touch and that’ll come after Christmas.

This point can't be stated enough. If we can stay within touching distance until we get Jones back and can add another traditional winger in January then we should have a good second half of the season to look forward to.

It's very attritional at the minute and we do look a bit bereft of ideas going forward but with Edwards and Jones out it's not particularly surprising.

As for the initial question - Bass. I'd wager he won't see out his contract and will be playing Championship football before too long.
