I don't know CAM. That team that won Div4, some of it you can see on YouTube played some superb attacking football.

Can't tell me that football has improved when that team in Div4 would absolutely stick 5 or 6 past the drab group we have now, which includes a million pound striker.

Speaking of which. Here are some Rotherham strikers that didn't cost a million pounds.

    Bobby Williamson
    Clive Mendonca
    Tony Cunningham
    Imre Varadi
    Nigel Jemson
    Mark Robins
    Adam Le Fondre
    Matt Derbyshire
    Danny Ward
    Nouha Dicko

Also the 2 in that list on loan had we paid a million pounds we'd have probably signed them permanently

At least Kelly wasn't playing. Wilkes another type of cut inside wide player not for me I don't want to see keeps Holmes out of the side.

I was very close to booing them off at the final whistle.

Tony Stewart is having our pants down

    He needs to go.

Listening to Evans on the radio on my way home, he went on to say that the fans were very patient with the team today and were right behind them when it mattered. That's funny because I said to my Son, 'It's that poor today they'll be booing them off at HALF TIME''....and it happened. Ref blew his whistle for half time and it started immediately in the North stand. Funny how he never heard that, as it was loud enough.

And it was increasing during actual play in the second half Brin, there was a spell of awful misplaced passes the last of which was an error by Rafferty and the boos were really starting . I think we must have scored soon after and then a second just after that papered over the cracks

    Yes that is true.

daveeed, indeed it was. more boos rang out when another woeful pass from Bramall just went out for a throw in, nowhere near any of our players. Here's the BBC report if anyone wants confirmation:

Second-half goals from Jordan Hugill and Mallik Wilks helped under-pressure Rotherham boss Steve Evans enjoy a 2-0 home win over his former club Stevenage.
Boos ran out around the New York Stadium at half-time as the Millers, struggling to justify their pre-season status among this season’s League One promotion favourites, failed to break down a stubborn Boro.
But the division’s lowest scorers buckled after the break, having only mustered two shots at goal – one at the end of each half – all afternoon.
Rotherham created the best opportunities of an uneventful opening 45 minutes, with goalkeeper Taye Ashby-Hammond diving low to his left to keep out Zak Jules’ header.
Wilks also cleared the crossbar, with Ashby-Hammond forced into a near-post save from the same player late in the half.
Substitute Hugill eventually made the breakthrough in the 70th minute when Sam Nombe helped the ball on and his effort from the edge of the box deflected off Lewis Freestone before looping over Ashby-Hammond.
Victory was sealed three minutes later when Nombe’s shot was diverted onto the crossbar by Ashby-Hammond’s right boot, only for Wilks to lash the loose ball into the roof of the net from an acute angle.

No doubt there were some highlights in those 30 years MAMiller and some great players and great games but I'd still say the majority of the ~700 games played at Millmoor during that time were similar to today's game rather than being memorable.

I called them out after Orient but to be fair I will give some praise today to Jules and especially Humphreys. Wilkes earned his crust today. The others? Can't think of anything good or bad which says a lot.

At least 5 of these WOULD have cost north of £1m in todays prices.
