I must admit there’s been games where I’ve thought we weren’t quite at the races but opposing fans comment on how good we look.
I think we just expect that we will play everyone off the park for 90 mins and call it a poor performance if we don’t.
Barrow was a good example, many fans saying we didn’t deserve anything from that game despite being the much better team for 50% of it. And most Barrow fans on social media called it there best performance of the season with a draw being a fair result.
I actually thought that Barrow dictated this game in the way they set up in both halves. They worked so hard at the high press in the first half, won every second ball, then parked the bus in the second. We were made to look better in the second half, slightly flattered in my view, not by anything we did to alter the game but by the way they sat back and allowed us more of the ball, if they'd had the legs to continue the press, I doubt very much if we'd have scored.

Disagree the hinchy substitution changed everything - moving Crowley back and getting possession. From 30 mins on we largely controlled the game.

'Controlled' in what way? How many shots did we have?

We were largely allowed to have the ball when we were messing around with it across the back and even then, they we nipping at our heels and I include our new, centre back Dan Crowley in that

We controlled the second half precisely because they let us, sitting back as they did to defend their lead.
