You're probably going to be disappointed there. If he is guilty, has admitted his guilt, has no relevant pre-cons and no significant injuries were inflicted, he will probably be given a caution.

That’s the likelihood for anyone in that situation, but it would doubtless lead to claims of a two-tier approach to those who let their politics blind them to reality (there will doubtless be some on the left who will say that the police only investigated because he’s an MP too).

As well as being eligible or caution, MPs are also allowed to go out for a night out like everyone else even if they aren’t home by 3.

Brin is right, we don’t know what happened in the minutes leading up to the footage. The recipient could have assaulted his wife / friend and was continually threatening the MP. Who knows atm
