This team is genuinely trying though, you can see that. Cardiff are having a good spell, their manager is doing well. Nothing stays the same for long in this league does it?
I think you are right Boingy. The team is trying but unfortunately, we are just not good enough to sustain our earlier successes. I honestly believe that we are not stong enough to maintain our push for promotion especially with the manager not knowing what his best team is. With some difficult matches coming up, mid table would be my prediction this season.

Oh for a midfielder who can receive the ball, turn (not instantly pass it backwards even when there is no-one on him) and drive with a bit of pace at the opposition and put them on the back foot. After a reasonable first half when we should have been a couple of goals to the good, the second half was complete drivel. To keep Diangana on for just short of 80 minutes was utterly ridiculous and tantamount to sadism. The guy was awful and the longer he stayed on the worse he got culminating in a simple pass to put us in on goal and he hit it straight out for a goal kick. The guy was having a total mare of a game and should have been hooked minutes into the second half as it was clear his confidence was fading fast. I am beginning to question CC team selections now. Other than Bartley who is injured he had the players who did so well for the first five games but he has avoided playing them together. It was crying out for Molumby to come on and put some energy into the team but no he persevered with Diangana for 80 minutes. Shocking decision in my opinion and I am afraid I am finding watching us at home totally boring.

Lost the toss and had to kick towards BRE 1st half.
Lots of shots in the 1st half but in a crowded box, lots of blocks.
Set pieces are of no value to us it seems and have we had a penalty yet this season?
    2nd half less chances.
    Diangana too lightweight.
Sat in the halfords at the back to the side seeing what goes on at the dug outs, loads of hand waving and gesticulations from Carlos's team who Carlos instructs what he wants but not much attention from the players and can this 3some talk english enough to be able to be understood on matchday ?? Quite embarrassing from them really with 3 of them in the technical area at times.

We are far too passive and lacking in energy. We need to show a far more aggressive approach, take defenders on and stop playing this ‘walking football’ at the back using multiple passes when one would suffice. Selection is a worry too. Why is Diangana still in the starting line up, why no Molumby when he is one player who does show enthusiasm and energy, why continually play Ajeyi when he has been poor this season?
At this stage of the season there is no need to be ‘resting players’ or rotating, pick your best eleven. Does he know what this is? If we are not careful we will drift out of the play off places which would be a shame after such an excellent start.

If you watched Arsenal yesterday they were doing the same back passing only more so. It’s the way teams play now. They have clinical finishers which is the difference.
