    Relegation battle

The sooner this squad and manager accepts where we are the better.

Still believe in Doc and don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater but this run of form and inability to back up a decent result can't go on.

As passive and weak performance I've not seen for a while from DFC.

    The HT substitution was baffling.

Way way way too much respect shown to st j and apart from Carson very few leaders on the park, Murray screaming at everybody dosent count.

Fin can't play in a midfield with Cameron.

Cameron looks to be running down contract, shying out of tackles not battling and not putting a shift in....I'd honestly have him out the team, he reminds me of a mini me WGS, aloof and too good for us.

Billy at the back.....mom....aye right, too casual, not strong enough, body position is all wrong at times.

    Carson....welcome back.

We have too many players who want to play it there way, team of individuals yesterday

Docherty has to settle on a formation and stick with it and no come out with nonsense after the game.

We never lost to anyone in the btm 3 last season.

We have already lost to county and st j, 2 teams you wud expect to be in btm 3.

    Last point ...Fraser.

We waited so long on him signing....was it reliant on Mccowan going who knows.....but when are clubs going to learn that if you sign players after pre season they are much more susceptible to injury and never quite getting to the required fitness levels.

    Hurry back Jordan McGhee.

And please this week, no table tennis, video games, teachers pet or other *******s that gives the air of a holiday camp rather than a serious football club.

Fraser will be no use if he doesn't feature every week. McCowan's leaving so late in my opinion was absolute folly on our part. Finlay Robertson is not a midfielder at the level that we require. Cameron is no use defensively. Braybrooke struggles with the physicality of this league, but has something about him. Our right back is a bomb scare, as Billy can be at times. The second half lineup was a horror show. Carson was the only plus. Our recruitment this season, compared to last has been awful. Robertson, Murray and the left back looking like the only three having any positive effect. Why did we not sign better midfielders. Yesterday, from last season, we didn't have McCowan, Boateng, Sylla, Shaughnessy, Beck, Baka, McGhee. and it showed. Was Sylla hooked for tactical reasons? Hopefully not because that would have been madness, given our lineup second half. St Johnstone are gash, but overpowered us easily.

Immediately after it was announced that Luke McCowan had been transferred to Celtic I said to my wife that Dundee FC are going to be facing a relegation battle this season.
I also think that the management of the club made a mistake transferring Max Anderson to Crawley Town where he is playing in first team and letting Cammy Kerr leave to go to Queens Park.
Cammy tried his best playing for his beloved Dundee FC and he was willing to play in different positions in the defence.
The replacements for Max Anderson and Cammy Kerr are in my opinion no better.
There may be some truth in the rumour that Tim Keyes father stated in a meeting in early January 2024 that bankrolling Dundee Football Club would have to stop and the club would have to break even financially.
So far this season Luke McCowan has been sold for £1 million plus add ons, Max Anderson has been sold for a cross border development fee which is up to a maximum of £500k and a young goalkeeper has been sold to Wolves? for a rumoured transfer fee of of between £300k and £400k.
We have purchased Simon Murray for £120k and according to a poster on DBF this is being paid in four quarterly payments.
Perhaps the 1893 Foundation money is being used to pay Simon Murray’s transfer fee due to Ross County.

If Max Anderson and Cammy Kerr were still key parts of our squad We'd be completely ****ed. Neither is anywhere near the standard we need. You think Cammy Kerr is a better right back better than Jordan McGhee? Max Anderson isn't even at the standard of Fin Robertson, and Fin's nowhere near the level we need but you'd have Max Anderson in the team?

Stick to politics and slagging off John Nelms because you seem to know absolutely nothing about football.

Agree a wee bit with Cammy as he’s definitely better than Winston Ingram , Ingram is nowhere near a step up from Cammy , but let it go with Max he was subbed at half time for not the first time this season , he never gets the full 90 minutes he’s either a sub or gets subbed in a very poor team , I do hope Ingram turns it around though like the French left back who puts in good performances now after a dodgy start

A wee bit more desire from Ingram would help his cause

He can beat a man but is a bit flat footed when defending........if I was him or if God forbid I was coaching him it would all be about getting the tackle, block or body in before wide man drops a shoulder and gets past him......he seems content to jocky.....ok if you are light on your loafers but he isnae.....a bit of Cammy aggression would help him.

The frenchman is turning into an asset, wouldn't have took him off Saturday.

    Who's Winston Ingram?

Ethan Ingram is currently filling in for Jordan Mcghee, you're possibly right that he's no better than Cammy Kerr but then of course, he's no worse really. I think there's more chance of Ingram becoming a decent player over this season and next than Cammy Kerr.

    On the nose ref Max.

Winston Ingram is the character off Still Game, the one with only one leg. Come to think of it he'd likely be better with only one leg than Ethan; I don't see a player in there.

Never really liked Still Game and had no idea Winston, or any of the other characters for that matter, had a second name. You live and learn.

I thought Ingram had their left back in his hipper first 15 minutes on Saturday winning the 50 / 50 challenges and beating him for pace but that just fell away, like the rest of the side, after we scored.

I like Still Game and I watch the repeats every Friday evening at 10pm on the BBC Scotland channel.
