They fine managers for bringing the game into disrepute, they ought to fine Michael Oliver. Decisions like that do far more damage to the reputation and integrity of the game than a strongly worded post-match opinion. On what planet does Oliver think he's overturning a clear and obvious error in that instance? They cannot brush that off as an honest mistake, he's had time to look at it multiple times. People in regular work get sacked for not doing their jobs properly.
Apparently he and Taylor are our top two refs.
Oliver's demand that (weak willed) Coote review the pen was appalling. As the 4th official he had plenty of time to look at it. Webb should throw him out for a couple of months. It was that bad.
Taylor's free kick against Arsenal for winning the ball against a defender making a back, thereby disallowing the 'goal' which could have won them the game was also outrageous. He only whistles once Havertz (I think) has won a header and a goal look odds on favourite. Couldn't we have waited or would a draw have suited a Citeh fan?
If these are our best, then why are we so surprised that those we get are often so far short of being up to scratch.
