Thread: Progress

    Progress

Sign of the progress we have made - we are disappointed (some may even moan) when we draw rather than when we lose.

Shows that headed in the right direction.

I think that some of that is driven by flashbacks of last year.

we are the best team in the championship but you would not know that from the table. we've handled all of the top teams pretty well but, like last year, failed to finish off teams and squandered chances to pick up points. we've also allowed some teams to stick around and, while not fair to the team given their performance, gave Sunderland the boost they needed to think this is a divine intervention season for them.

Our inability to put teams away will come back to bite us later in the year. Some have a feeling we peaked too soon.

When we draw against a team like Brizzles, most will be disappointed AND moan, and they have, justifiably, and that would apply in just about any season since the days of Cellino

What he said (apart from being the best team in the Championship, we aren't)

7pts from last 3 games is a good return but I think we can all agree it was definitely 2pts dropped Saturday against the poorer of the 3 sides we have recently faced.

The performances by all the top 6 have been inconsistent (to say the least!), and I'd say it's way too early to declare.which team in best. FWIW, I'd say Bumley, Sunderland and.West Brom are on a par with Leeds, Sheffield have been fortunate and lucky to be where they are.

    Ask me.again at Christmas.

Pretty much controlled the Burley, West Brom and Sunderland games.

If I was a bookie and I had to pick a team to win the league I'd pick Leed's first

Sunderland seem to be, at the moment, the only team that take their chances, Burnley, West Brom and Leeds mainly fire blanks.

Not sure we have "controlled" ANY game so far. Had periods in all where we dominated but never for a whole game (results would support that view). Like I say, by Christmas we should be able to see the wood for the trees.
