Not the first time by any means regrettably we have seen a conversion to Islam followed by a very rapid progress to extreme violence.

“And people wonder why the white normal tax paying law abiding citizen is getting progressively pissed off.”

It’s all the lies really army that get you, whatever political party you support. Prior to the General Election we were told by Two Tier if you want change you have to vote for it. No general tax increase but there would be a financial burden but the broadest shoulders would have to bear the load. In fact the FIRST shoulders picked out were 10 million pensioners losing Winter Fuel. Now we see a budget where business will need to take on increased expenditure that will hit jobs and pay. Care home running costs will rise and that again will be a source of concern for pensioners looking to their long term futures. Farmers are fuming. The boat people are still arriving in droves although the new Government said they had a plan. We have gangs from Eastern Europe that are here because the EU expanded without due diligence into former Soviet economies and allied this with free unfettered movement. We are hopelessly bound by the ECHR and its nonsensical rulings. Pissed off is the mildest way of putting it army. Utterly let down by a party political system that seems to have forgotten how to look after you and keep you and your families safe is another.

I have refrained from commenting for some time as I do not live in England and was told to go back to my lattés and chocolate.

The budget is staggering to say the least and is a betrayal of the voters.

The system in Britain is broken with a Government supported by less than 33% of the voters, no ability to change anything for 5 years, by which time the country will be bankrupt.

There is clearly a class divide, not the rich and poor, but the public sector and the private sector. The latter actually generates growth, meaningful jobs and prosperity. Yet it is the private sector that has been hit hard by this Government.

I am not an economist but it is highly likely that the country will see stagnation, higher interest rates and higher unemployment.

Billions will be poured into the public sector - a true parasite that lives off the private sector. No productivety improvements will be required. That is difficult as the public sector produces the square root of f*ck all.

Welcome to the communist state of Britain.

On the bright side, it will not last as the Muslims will be taking over!

The only positive I can think of yesterday budget is that the interest rates will stay high for savers, other than that its a feckin disaster for the economy.

Its a disaster for business whose tax and growth funds the public sector projects. Tax revenues will be lower and the government will have to borrow more money to pay for their vanity projects and NHS bureaucracy.
Inflation will creep higher along with interest rates and unemployment.

A Labour government has incompetent as this lot is like another Covid thrust upon us, we are going to be saddled with more public debt.

Always said it and its true. Labour couldn't run a pish up in a brewery

The bond yeild for 10 year gilts is now higher than under Liz Truss and the media etc got rid of her Govt!! Mortgage rate not likley to fall; in fact likely to rise over the medium term if this carries on. There is little chance for growth when more smart folks are leaving for pastures new due to punitive tax rates and a business hostile climate.

    How right you are Swiss

For all the bad in the budget and it was as I read it anyway excessive borrowing.

The thing that got me most was the childish immature *******s laughing and joking like it was fun - saving a penny on a pint - the jibes and jeering and the smokescreen of what was an absolute disaster.

I believe the conservatives did no better at running the country in the last few years but I’ll say this for Sunak response it was damming to Labour - faults he has yes but if there is one thing he does know about it’s finance and money - and he had Reeves and the smug prime minister and deputy absolutely bang to rights as they smirked and laughed at the country’s expense.

I genuinely felt for people yesterday - a lot will struggle but those at the lower end have a tough time coming.

While there's nowt wrong with lattes and chocolate, I would ignore the resident Lefty's suggestion Swiss, he can't keep his nose out other country's affairs and has no right to instruct anyone else what they should or shouldn't be posting about. There is no censorship on here, if you want to point out what a ****hole this country now is, you carry right on.

It's quite ironic that they've bumped up Employer NI contributions, the biggest employer in the country is the NHS and they're having to bung it even more money to pay for the horrendous NI bill they're going to be saddled with. Not one of the Labour Cabinet has any business experience, they're all lost, all at sea, economically illiterate, not a clue what they're doing. But it's us poor buggers who'll have to pay for it.

The tories asset stripped the UK, spent billions on Brexit which is still costing us, gave away billions during Covid to their cronies in PPE contracts that were worthless then gave away millions in unaudited fraudulent claims for assistance, have put Councils across the country into situations where if they were private companies they would have to declare bankruptcy and have made record borrowings to finance their maladministration, leaving the country in enormous debt and they've almost destroyed the NHS and Labour are then criticised for trying to fix the mess by increasing taxes. it's laughable. What would the Tories have done if they'd stayed in power? Borrowed more money to buy lottery tickets? Get real, this country is in deep economic **** and it's not labour's fault.
