Firat team debut, been doing great stuff in the youth teams, great to see him given a debut even if it is against Plymouth!

Even though I’m happy with this, 22 shots but only 6 on target still shows where we have issues.

Agreed, and against a side that did f00k all first half and where we did about the same second half! Glad of the three points and three entertaining goals but must do better

I’ll take that. Three goals, three debuts and a clean sheet.

Yes disappointing second half should have buried them.

First half technique was full of awareness and that missing link 'ruthlessness'..... more evident today...... on the wet zippy ER pitch.

General tempo in possession much improved as it maximised our wide strengths for the first 45 minutes..... possibly our best first half played this season..... so a good weeks training gone into the game.....

So Plymouth fielded a back five bus job..... which we dealt with well..... quite a few shots being pinged in by us as well ........

Rothwell kept driving us through well when on the ball and was drawing out the Plymouth bus players........ and Tanakas developing languid style looking good also.....via his deft forward distribution.

Gnonto positional duties off ball are much better and obviously been worked on by Farke as was his discipline responsibility today....... as hes one card away from a ban a good display from him.

James fired a beauty with well taken venom and a Tanaka effort then saw Piroe grab one with Aaronsson popping up 'where he should be' to net...... so a ruthless ten minutes into finding the nets being most welcome.

Second half....... Farke introducing different pieces into the action...... with all fitting well into Farkes ideaology requirement noted !

Plymouth poor will be the gist no doubt...... but we made them look even poorer mainly due to patience in sticking to our gameplan tempos which was rewarded....... sensible subs at sensible times... with Joseph offering us [and them] something different...... so tempo wise we became slower to lessen any mistakes which is a quality we previously have lacked.

Its good to be looking more composed going into next round of fixtures....... and good to see the 'steadying-effects' that JG induced onto the pitch....... into closing down the game safely during the latter stages.👌

Happy clapper here from my perch..... onwards and upwards as all games have to be won in this league no matter who the opponents are
