Just because he isn't a whippet like Mawanhise doesn't mean he has no pace

And that boys pace wouldn't have mattered had Manny not had a howler which cost us the game

Real pace is what I'm meaning. Middleton is pacey but the guy from Well has real pace as does Boyle at Hibs, Middleton is no where near as quick as them so less dangerous imo

Its important to establish a solid back system and play is with the ability to change as a game goes on. Sadly i dont really think JG manages this.

Many games seem to simply lack intensity and desire. This has to come from the management, were not good enough to play like the old Brazil....

Also i feel that Middleton has gone back into hiding mode and disappears too often, maybe becoming a player best kept for impact. He has to give more each game to keep a slot.

Babunski has ability w can see but seems to be wasted in defense.

I think Bubunski thought he was going to be a centre mid offensive player, protected by two aggressive workhorses. Unforunately, due to injury and formation, he has been played in different positions, and that hasn't happened.

Even with the team at full strength, I'm not sure that will.

Agree what's being said about Babunski, its criminal that we are wasting his talent in a midfield defensive position.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but is that not 3 games in a row when we have played better after changes made to the starting lineup and/or formation?

That should be telling Goodwin that he's either being too negative with the starting lineup and only changing when we need to chase a result or he's just getting it wrong from the start. I get that injuries are hitting us really hard but we need to get better control of midfield or our luck may run out against County 🙁

Starting formation has been the same for at least last 4 games.
Subjective but imo we played better against Hibs home and away when he went 4 at the back. Aberdeen were just better than us whole game and against Well we were the better side but one pacy striker for them had our whole defence on toast with punts through the middle.
The problem for me is we end up needing more in midfield so put Odada on but then sacrifice width, same with putting another striker on all because of this 3/5 at the back.
It's got back to endless punts up to Dalby and no belief in playing constructive football through middle to front.
If we setup 3-4-3 with a "low block" to hit R County on the break at home then imo it's embarrassing.

Goodwin doesn't help himself by being so set on this formation. FFS go four at the back, four in midfield and two upfront. So against County
    442. If no joy you can revert to any other formation but for once just start a game with this setup and see how we do.

    Walton
    Sevelj Adegboyega Holt Ferry
    Stephenson Babunski Odada Middleton
    Dalby Fotheringham

That being the personnel if Graham, Docherty & Moult not available. I wouldn't risk Trapanovski.
