Is that pride in flying the US flag, or derision for the rest of the world who are nowhere near as mighty as the USA? Patriotism and xenophopia are closer than you might think, especially among Trump supporters. Regarding letting servicemen on a plane first, I'd rather let doctors and nurses on the plane first.

Actually, I usually let anyone on the plane first. Your seat is booked, why would you want to sit on a plane any longer than you have to!

When he won in 2016, he cried about a rigged election still because he didn't get the popular vote... He's never going to come out and say great and fair election

It’s called having pride in where you come from and respecting people who gave / give, nothing more nothing less.

Agree, I have pride in where I came from and respect for those who give / gave especially doctors and nurses.

I'm just not sure that applies to all who fly the US flag.

Same here too I'm afraid. We bring workers from overseas on fixed term contracts, but they are paid at least the minimum wage and taxed accordingly.

You need to go to America. Since the Vietnam debacle they generally look after all their former public servants really well. As the US has a very limited healthcare system, nurses and doctors are normally in private employment and paid really well.

There lies the problem with looking at the US with limited outside eyes.

Because some knob, will nick your baggage space, ensuring that you have to leave your bag at least ten rows behind you.

They could if they paid as they should but it's slave wages for a tough days work. The other problem for people taking temporary jobs, is the lengthy waits when they sign on and off of universal credit. Some people wait up to six weeks before they get anything.

Not a problem to me. Once you've got your bag, you either have to wait at the luggage carousel or passport control. And then you have to wait again on the transfer bus for the knob who usually delays it!

To me, the oddest state is Michigan. It has a high population of Muslims who, for some reason, don't support Harris because of her stance on Israel. However, Michigan looks like a certain bet for Harris and the Democrats out of all the Battleground states in the polls and the betting.

Why would they turn against her and vote for Trump, who is 100% behind Israel. In fact he has done more for Israel than virtually any President other than Harry Truman. Mind you, that's a bit odd too, because the left call Trump a Nazi, but the Nazis didn't do too much for the Jewish people.

This election is full of hypocrisies!
