Congratulations America, it’s virtually certain now that you have elected a convicted criminal as your President. I hope that you are pleased with yourselves!
As true today as it was back in the 90's 'It's the economy stupid'
I envy the USA. Look what we have got for Government.
The election of Trump will resonate around the world. Putin will surely be a happy man this morning.
When you see what Trumps election means, I’m not to sure it is what is needed right now.
Link is worth a read if you have the time.

Apart from what the link contains, I suspect President Zelensky of Ukraine will be extremely concerned. So should we be? As Trump, I believe, has made reference in regards to NATO and how the USA’s support might change going forward as a member. That is a concern that Europe may be left to deal with Putins war alone.
The world is currently in a really very unstable state. With the election of Trump it is likely to become even more precarious as the US is heading in the direction of becoming less of a democracy and appears heading towards totalitarianism under Trump.

Never was a fan of Trump, but I can see what influenced that decision. Toxic establishment in the states. He’s not a politician and relates to people far better than politicians. A lot of blacks and muslims in the states have voted for him, also a growing number of males. That says a lot. The woke narrative of men being told not to be men and the division that takes place a
has made not just the states pee’d off. It’s here too. For all his faults, let’s see what he does.
Anyway, if he can bring the current conflicts that are happening to an end, by peaceful means - then i’ll commend him. That should stop this silly ongoing cost of living malarkey. Maybe, just maybe.
Personally I can’t stand Trump but many Americans wanted a strong leader and an end to illegals pouring into the country. It was a wrong move replacing Biden with Harris as she came across quite weak. Sadly many Americans won’t accept a woman. Trumps views on abortion are shocking although many won’t oppose it as the US is a religious country.
It will be interesting on Ukraine. Don’t disagree with Trump though on one thing which is every NATO Country should contribute the same percentage towards ammunition and support. Some NATO Countries contribute very little or nothing so it does rile the US tax payer.
If you listen to why he’s won it’s because most Americans preferred life under him as the economy was good and the democrats bombed it. Whether you like him or not that’s why. On the radio now. 5 live.
That’s exactly what one of the reasons Boingy, americans funding wars being key thing that Democrats giving their dollars away. There’s very little we know about the state of America, only those that vote over there know more. This side of the atlantic were made to make judgments on the headlines and sensational click bait news that arrives here. Our media sell the story differently here. But let’s see how this goes. For all his faults, he’s not your average politician. We need someone of his ilk to run our country (not exactly his characteristic, but you know what I mean).
A win for populism but the elite liberals of the Democratic party only have themselves to blame. I don't like him but can understand why he won.
Given Trump's well documented comments on NATO and trade tariffs I think that it is a certainty that his victory will have a negative impact on both the UK and Europe but the question will be just how much and hopefully it may not be as bad as some are forecasting for ourselves.
Internationally, I think he is more concerned with China and how they impact on America than he is with the war in Ukraine or the conflict in the Middle East for example. Bad news for Zelensky but his mantra has always been "America First". Don't think he will pay much heed to any traditions of the our so called "Special Relationship" either 😁
The one thing that will make relationships between Trump and anyone else interesting, particularly the leaders of other countries -whether Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, Zelensky or Netanyahu -is his sheer unpredictability.
