A win for populism but the elite liberals of the Democratic party only have themselves to blame. I don't like him but can understand why he won.

Given Trump's well documented comments on NATO and trade tariffs I think that it is a certainty that his victory will have a negative impact on both the UK and Europe but the question will be just how much and hopefully it may not be as bad as some are forecasting for ourselves.

Internationally, I think he is more concerned with China and how they impact on America than he is with the war in Ukraine or the conflict in the Middle East for example. Bad news for Zelensky but his mantra has always been "America First". Don't think he will pay much heed to any traditions of the our so called "Special Relationship" either ��

The one thing that will make relationships between Trump and anyone else interesting, particularly the leaders of other countries -whether Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, Zelensky or Netanyahu -is his sheer unpredictability.

Can't really argue with this. I have one caveat though. If Trump is not going to keep supplying Ukraine, I can see a scenario in the near future where weapons will be used inside Russia, while they still have them. Nothing to lose, in my view

We may never know what is really going on in America as we head on through the Trump presidency, if he gets to do what he has threatened to do in relation to journalist. If he hunts them down and puts laws in place regarding what and how they can report then the public will have to tow the Government line. Which countries does that situation occur i wonder!

That’s exactly what one of the reasons Boingy, americans funding wars being key thing that Democrats giving their dollars away. This side of the atlantic were made to make judgments on the headlines and sensational click bait news that arrives here. Our media sell the story differently here. But let’s see how this goes. But is it sensational click bait? If you listen to Trump he does not mince his words about his opponent, who he dislikes, NATO and deporting thousands of illegal immigrants. This is partly why many Americans vote for him. If one of our politicians used language about immediately deporting thousands of illegals, the lefties would jump all over them. God help any of the public now if they use inflammatory words about illegals. Many non whites who support Trump agree with him about illegals as they are US citizens. In this country you would be accused of being racist over this issue but it's nothing to do with this.

I don't like Trump especially with his disgusting views on abortion but even with that many agree with him as they are a religious country like Ireland etc.

Whilst, I don't personally like Trump, I can see why many vote for him who want a strong leader, strong economy, better law and order and a say on where their taxes are spent.

Sorry Al, what I was getting at is how our media sensationalises what he says and takes out the context. He’s probably anti establishment and they don’t like it, so all we hear here is the made up furore when in reality it’s far from it. This doesn’t make me a fan of trump but he’s trying to do what his people want him to, much like Jeremy was trying to do here.

What really angers me is that if he were not President he’d be behind bars now for a long, long time. He will now make himself immune from any prosecution in the future for any illegal action that he takes, and there will be plenty. It’s not his policies that I abhor, it’s him as an individual.
