In your world that probably didn't happen.
You appear to have missed this post Lullapie.

No problem, I'll give you another chance to address it.

Nothing, I was commenting generally on you saying "the left claim that only the right are doing it".

If you accept that wasn't the case in the Brexit vote then once again it's no problem.

Is it law? Seems from everything I have read that there it is not clear whether a President could pardon himself. If he can, should he?

That's OK EP. I didn't miss it . Trump is and was a man of incredible wealth and incredible power. I think the comment that he made was about 10 years before he stood for the Presidency and obviously it was either how he thought/thinks or it was just male 'bravado'. He definitely said it - no doubting that.

If I was with a few mates and someone said that, would I stand up, walk out and post it over the internet - probably not. If they became Prime Minister a few years later, would it be an issue? No. To me when you see some of the atrocities in the world, I don't see it as a big thing.

If Joe Biden had said it, I wouldn't see it as a big thing. Just as when Bill Clinton, a married man and then President of the USA had $ex with a young intern in the Oval Office and then lied to Ken Starr, under oath, about what he'd done - I didn't get worked up by that either.

If that is important to you, then I'm ok with that. We're all different. Obviously there are lots of people in the US share my thoughts and there will be lots that share yours. Just not enough to win an election .

We've had a few ding dongs on here and when it's not about politics, I am generally in agreement with you. I'm not sure if you remember when I said that ALL politicians are the same. I believe that they are all corrupt in one way or another and they have to be that way to get to power. This happens in all forms of life, especially, in my opinion, when dealing with departments of state.

I fully agree that there was probably massive mis-information/lies on both sides. I wasn't in the UK for the Brexit vote, so only followed it from afar.

My comment about the left blaming the right, is my experience in New Zealand and also my very closely following of US Politics since I left school 40 years ago.

Yes, it seems the majority shared your thoughts that having a president who thinks it's ok to "grab pu$$y" if you want to is no big deal.

Luckily, as you say "we're all different".

In US law, ALL Presidents when departing from office can give pardon or clemency to any US citizen convicted of a crime. In theory, yes he can do it.

Dershowitz says that it's possible, it's just that it has never been done before. I think more likely is that he could appeal the convictions and get them thrown out. That would be easier if he stacked the judicial system.

So everything that has happened in the last 20 years, Trump saying 'grab pu$$y' ranks highly on what you worry about?

It would if I was an American voter.

I have a wife, three daughters and a granddaughter, so men who view women like Trump does revolts me.

I'd be more concerned with sleepy Joe's policy of making the military more inclusive for women from the top down to front line infantry, lowering standards for inclusive woke ideology, forcing out experienced personnel for gender box ticking.
Let's hope Trump can reverse it fast.
