This wokeness is driving me mad. I just don?t understand why they still do this ffs. It?s one reason why in the US they voted Trump because males felt that being masculine male had links to misogyny and it was all about women empowerment. I?m all for equality but not when it?s not relative to the society and when it?s rammed down you to force change. Anyway, how do these as agencies come to this decision? it baffles me. Are we all being forced to become one ***, gender etc? Who is driving this? ffs.

If we're being forced to become one gender I imagine the driver will definitely be a w@nchor in a Tesla.

Agree with that Regis and go to the States a lot. Trump was voted in for many reasons - economy - strong leader - anti establishment - anti woke and he will deport thousands of illegal immigrants and not give a flying f uck what the lefties think. I can?t stand Trump personally but get why he won the election easily and had the support of many rich professionals and corporations.

Spot on. I, also, can’t stand the man. He’s a liar, dishonest, rude and should be behind bars. Having said all this, he knows what the people of America want and plays up to this. Even though I agree with some of his policies I could never bring myself to vote for such a disgusting individual. Many Americans however, can!

Many of our Politicians too are disgusting individuals, liars and dishonest but don?t speak their mind due to our country being far more woke than the US. Are these politicians therefore any better than Trump? Illegal immigration is a huge issue in the US by many citizens and Trump is seen to be a man of his word when he says they will all be deported. Gimmicks like Rwanda etc are just that gimmicks with no action but huge costs to the tax payers. Would I trust Starmer anymore than Trump? No.

I find it amazing how people can get offended by an advert. And that this happens pretty much every Christmas.

I've seen it, I genuinely wasn't bothered one way or the other. I think there is far more other important things to be concerned about - I just don't get the backlash.

Much of the backlash may be because of the actress chosen to portray 'Mrs Claus'. Adjoa Andoh instigated the most complained about TV comment of 2023. During live coverage on ITV of the coronation of King Charles, the Royal Family appeared on the balcony at Buckingham Palace when she, present as a guest in the studio, complained it looked "terribly white". 4165 complaints were made to Ofcom who weren't interested in the slightest, presumably because white people just can't make any complaints about racism.

It’s not just Christmas ads, nearly all TV advertisements are utter rubbish; I can’t imagine any of them inspiring me to go out and buy whatever it is they’re peddling. Anyway, I very rarely listen to tv ads anymore, I either turn the sound off or the dog is barking at them! The folk that produce the rubbish must be strange sorts of beings, weirdness personified. Even more unfathomable are the people in the companies that commission the ads who sign them off and pay a fortune for the cr@p.
