Oh that doesn't count because all Democrats are good people. It's funny how those that are not anti-Trump say that all behaviour like that is wrong. Then those that suffer from TDS, only believe it's wrong if Trump did it. It's laughable really. There's some very holier than thou people on here.

Yeah, I was expecting the usual, "So you're condoning what Trump did then?" reply, followed by a list of reasons why Biden's child-sniffing and girl-groping was taken out of context and how he actually isn't a complete creep.

And of course the Democrats are the good guys! Hilary Clinton isn't a war-mongering career politician. Nancy Pelosi isn't involved in high-profile insider trading. Gary Gensler is doing a great job protecting US investors while allowing emerging industries to thrive. Elizabeth Warren has amassed hundreds of millions of dollars transparently and in the service of the American people. And so on.

I wouldn't say you're condoning what Trump has done, but you appear to be trying to mitigate it on the grounds that some Democrats have done wrong as well. Even if Biden turns out to be the biggest pervert in politics, it doesn't alter what Trump has done.

It doesn't alter the fact either that MSM and the left's whole schtick for the past 8 years was to claim the moral high ground at all times whilst totally ignoring Biden's extremely disturbing behaviour which has been caught on multiple occasions on camera and shared on social media for years, yet the MSM have said nothing. See also his son's laptop story.

The major takeaway from the fall out of his final debate with Trump was that a very sizeable amount of Democrats, possibly even a majority, had no idea that his mental capacity was significantly compromised, again because MSM said nothing, whilst anybody who wasn't in that echo chamber had been raising the alarm for at least 18 months prior.

All you say could be right, but I'll repeat the last few words of my previous post:

It doesn't alter what Trump has done.

That's only going to matter to people who want to be seen publicly as - and/or to reassure themselves that - they are "good, kind" people.

Put it this way. If I have a leaking pipe upstairs and I've got three inches of water flooding my kitchen, I don't care if my plumber has done time in prison for x,y or z, I just want him to do the job I'm paying him to do and "thank you very much, have a good day". I'm not going to sit around worrying "could I be friends with this person?", "What would my chat group think of me giving this guy work?", "Would I trust this person to be alone with my daughter for 30 seconds in a lift?", "Is he going to misgender my cat?"

Whether or not Trump is going to actually do the job that people who voted for his team expect, that is another issue altogether. I'm not confident he will, or will be allowed to.

I think there is quite a difference between a plumber and the President of the USA. He should be leading by example imo, not someone for whom lying comes as second nature.

Exactly what I would do. I would take the selfish option of getting the job done at the lowest price. It wouldn't be a moral issue at all, just stop the bloody leak! But getting a plumber in an emergency is a bit different to voting for someone to decide your future and your families future for the next few years. Given my age and circumstances, I should be a typical Tory (Republican) voter, but my rather shallow morals still won't allow me.
