It is a little over three weeks since I was in Amsterdam, walking its beautiful canal side streets and visiting the Anne Frank house. You cannot but feel the horror of what was done to the Jewish inhabitants of Amsterdam during World War 2. Those streets are now being turned ugly again with anti-semitism and it has been unleashed by the conflict in the Middle East. It matters not where you stand on the Israel-Palestine conflict (and there are several different viewpoints on this board) but undoubtedly anti-semitism is on the rise and not just on the streets of Amsterdam but in many other cities here in the UK and abroad.
