Try to put yourself in Nelms place. I have, and I would not be able, or want, to answer many of the questions asked by fans.

That isn't the same as giving him 100% for all his actions. Somehow there is a gap in our communications, and I agree with you that the only person who can fix that is John Nelms.

I think the way round it might be to use Gordon Strachan more. He is obviously heavily involved with our club and he might like speaking to the fans.

How does he know what the questions are?

Never mind though everything will be tickety boo when the stadium is built, full houses, European football, lashings to spend on the team......too many are clinging to this.

Cud just as easily be half built stadium, huge debt, nobody going.

    Livvy playing in dark blue.

We used to have a publican who posted regularly on here a while ago, Derry Drummer, I think was his user name.

Maybe the local pubs could do with some help in selling pre match and post match pints to fans? If you have a ticket for the , and it should be easy to demonstrate that with the digital tickets, get something as a reward.

Our club has to be seen to be trying harder to get fans to attend.

Performances on the pitch are crucial but I think more fans might help the team to perform at a higher level.
I used to arrange my trips to Dundee to coincide with Dundee FC home games but now I do not bother.

There was definitely a point over the past few seasons when our ticketing system was so poor and therefore several hundred or more could be in a queue at the shop wanting to buy tickets, queuing for ages, and at times missing the start of the game. This season it is all different. Folk can buy their ticket easily, days in advance, on the day, in the pub pre match or outside the ground just prior to entry. The queues at the shop are now a thing of the past and anyone without access to buy online or on their phone can walk straight into the shop and get served right away. Also it's not as if other Premier clubs offer PATG. I can be as old fashioned as the next one of my age but in this case we move with the times. I don't see an issue here other than something to moan about re the club.

I reckon if JN abandoned Camperdown, agreed to stay at Dens, reintroduced PATG, became the best communicator in Scottish football you, Islay, would find something else to beat him over the head with. Lighten up man!
Last season there was PATG for away supporters in the Bob Shankly stand but not for non season ticket holders sitting in home stands.
I reckon there is more chance of blue snow falling than JN abandoning Camperdown, agreeing to stay at Dens, reintroducing PATG and becoming the best communicator in Scottish football.
Incidentally I watched the very recent JN interview on STV news.
JN states in the interview that they (Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited) have been inundated with offers of funding for the new stadium development which according to the interview will cost ?95 million.
In September 2022 JN stated that his new stadium development at Camperdown was almost fully funded and if they required extra funds they could easily obtain these funds from the City of London.

That happened because several of the Dee4life directors (not me) were more interested in jaw,jaw instead of enforcing the entrenched rights
of their A shares nominating Kenny Valentine as their Primary representative on the Dundee Football Club Limited board of directors.
The reply signed Dundee FC Ltd stated that the nomination would dealt with under the Club?s Articles of Incorporation.(American term).
At the Dee4life board of directors meeting in December 2022 I stated we should reply stating that we want our nominated Primary representative elected under the rules of the Dundee Football Club Limited Articles of Association but the Vice Chairman was against this. He wanted more dialogue with JN. The Dee4life Vice Chairman won the day and Dee4life subsequently got nowhere.

I remember arguing that development of Dens would only work if new income streams could be generated. Never got anywhere, so it seems to me Dee4life are playing the long game and hopefully they will stick around. Would like to see them creating a rainy day fund raising option for supporters.
You must have missed the Dee4life AGM held by Zoom where during the Q and A it was explained by Ian Baird all the work he had put into buying back Dens Park from John Bennett in 2014.
The cost of repaying FPS after they had stated prior to the vote in August 2013 that they would buy back Dens Park for the Dundee supporters had been calculated on a repayment of 750k.
This consisted on 250k in donations.
    A bank loan of 250k.
    Fund raising of 250k.
Dens Park would be owned by the supporters probably in a Community Interest Company with Dundee Football Club Limited paying a peppercorn rent of one pound per annum.
Dundee Football Club would have a lease with them being responsible for all repairs and maintenance of Dens Park which happens at present.
250k of fund raising was a big ask but with a feel good factor at that time and the club back playing in the Premier League it was not insurmountable especially as fans buying back their football stadium would attract worldwide interest and donations from far and wide.
Importantly Dundee Football Club Limited would have no longer been paying an ever increasing annual rent to John Bennett of Sandeman Properties Limited.

The fans seem to be a pain to him.
Nelms is only interested in Yes men who do his bidding and will not ask awkward questions.

BBC Scotland The Nine were planning to broadcast at the end of October 2022 a article about the new stadium development at the former NCR Camperdown playing fields.
This was a month after the second Pre Application meeting held in the Landmark Hotel Dundee for new stadium development had taken place.
The Dee4life secretary at the time had been interviewed and BBC Scotland The Nine had contacted Dundee Football Club asking for an interview.
They never received a reply and the article was never broadcast.
Once again JN retreated into his bunker and waited until people gave up waiting for an answer.
In my opinion BBC Scotland The Nine should have broadcast the interview with the Dee4life secretary and stated that they had contacted the managing director of Dundee Football Club for an interview but at time of broadcast they had not received a reply.
That might have flushed John Nelms out of his bunker.

The debt would be the Directors of Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited problem.
