The new pitch should hold up well against most of the freezing weather we'll get. The undersoil heating they said will only be connected if it's absolutely needed so it sounds like it'll be easy to connect but who knows.

With all our injuries a few cancelled games may not be a bad thing.

so it's a bit like I've for radiators all round the house but I haven't got a boiler to heat them (expensive if I'm going to get hold of a boiler)

Or there is a boiler but I need to but some pipe to connect them and actually turn the boiler on (less expensive)?

I believe they need to buy and install the boiler.
To extend your analogy, it's as if you couldn't afford to install a whole central heating system just yet but you're having your whole house rewired, replastered and redecorated so you decide that whilst the whole house is gutted now would be a good time to install the pipes and radiators ready for future use. You can then easily add the boiler later when the budget allows

You can also hire package boilers, which while expensive is probably cheaper for a couple of days a year than buying something.

The greasy greek across the river will pay for it to be installed.

No suggestion of a heat pump yet then ?😂

I see Mr.Vince is urging his Labour buddies to print Health Warnings now on packs of bacon .
No chance of any at The New Lawn of course !
I wondered what his ?5m political donation would be influencing ?

A cash strapped former owner of a non-league club used generators to power the floodlights after the Electricity Company turned off the power.
Everytime the beer pump was used in the clubhouse, the floodlights turned into strobe lights mode, earning the title , The Disco Lights Football Stadium 😀

A little bird told me that the undersoil heating is taking a break from the club, 'for mental health reasons',apparently dissatisfied with being kept perpetually in the dark.
