Wilson doesn't adhere to 'the unwritten rules of the "feels like a new signing" schtick'.

During the cabbage patch days he was a saviour and we had little left to cling on to. We knew we were a joke and having a player who got goals when he was on the pitch was a godsend. Maxi likewise.

In the Howe Early days he really helped Eddie get his feet under the table and got players to buy into the competitive step up and the identity of intensity.

Last season when Isak took a knock and we were left without a proper centre forward his injuries started to grate.

Bare in mine we still finish 3 wins and a draw off Champions League football for the 2nd season in a row, had Wilson been even 20% fitter we could have collected those points.

The summer's lack of business in the Transfer window. The whole Ashworth midget (bonsai gardening) departure to the swamp let us once again relying on a player who proved unreliable in the previous 2 seasons.

We all wanted him shipped out, falling into two camps, either the aggressively 'Get shot' or passively 'Happy to let him go if a bid comes in' as he was fit at the end of last season.

July rolls around, preseason and boom... once again Wilson get injuries which make transfer impossible to transfer out of the club to bring in a genuine challenger to Isak.

July 20th - 'It's just something he's been feeling a little bit, so we're just getting it checked out. Could he miss the start of the season? Let's see.'

    Nov 01:
'Callum is doing OK - he’s building his load again. There was no real injury but just a feeling in his body that he couldn’t push as hard as he wanted. We’ll see how he is, but probably with the two-week gap, it's best to leave it.'

He could miss the start of the season ..... 11 games and counting ..... The man hasn't even made the bench.

He's lost any good will from the terraces he may have built up.

No animosity from most of the fans, there are always a section who are just hatful, they obviously have personal and mental issues which they transfer to the club and players due to haven't no life and being devoid of personality.

However, for a club with ambition laid out by Sheikh Yasir, Wilson has to go.

There is a theory among some of my mates that the reason he's not playing to ensure he's fit for sale in January. If so then fair enough but we'll need a quality replacement.

Time will tell but I'd be delighted to see the fella ship out for £10-12million to a lower Prem Club. He's 5-8 goals he'll score this season could and should be the difference between staying up and relegation.

    Ipswich or Everton perhaps.

A nonsense I've heard is a swap for MBuemo - Wilson + cash. I really don't see that one happening.
