For gods sake, 3 subs when the team is playing well, taking off Johnston and Fellows, two of Albion?s best performers, got to get the useless Wallace on at any chance he can, CC killing the game dead again no doubt

Mystifying subs, hope they don’t cost us the match. Fellow’s crosses have been dangerous all match and is taken off!

I get that Carlos will have an eye on Tuesday's game (especially with Furlong out) and I get Raicic and Dobbin (who looked far more promising in his recent outings) but Jed for Mickey?

3 points today against a poor Norwich side should be priority. Nobody expects anything at Sunderland as they have quick players who move the ball on the front foot.

Gone to pot since those subs

Start of the game I'd totally agree with you about Norwich but by the time he made the subs it sounds like such an open game that either side could pinch it. Given that you're right about expectations against Sunderland, even more strange that he's now taken off all the players most likely to see us nick the 3 points while Norwich still look dangerous. One or two changes, fair enough, but 5?

That?s my point Omeg! I could run quicker than Wallace and Cole looks like a league 2 player!

The word is Momentum - lost again by stupid subs

What’s the point of looking to the next game when we’re playing a game that needs to be won. Let the next game take care of itself. Taking players off who are the most likely to win you the game just doesn’t make sense.

I understand why managers, even if not looking to the next game specifically, want to manage game time of players, especially key ones but have to agree with Leics. that the game you are playing has to take priority. "One game at a time" and all that.

There are various legitimate reasons why you may want to make subs -if you are at a stage when you need to try different tactics to break a deadlock, if a player looks injured or under-performs, if you are winning comfortably etc.-but making so many changes in one game is beyond me. Especially in such a close game as today's when either side could have taken the 3 points. The players that came on still sounded like they wanted to go for it but-quite aside from the issue of losing momentum- taking off those players far more likely to get us the win makes it seem that the intent wasn't there any more.

Both Fellows and Johnston are thankfully getting back to form and caused Norwich problems today and Maja and Grant also continue to pose a threat. I get replacing Mowatt with Raicic and even subbing Tom for Dobbin but to take all of our most threatening players off?
