A real dogged performance by a makeshift team. We probably had the two best chances as well.

Agreed, a decent point away to Sunderland. Having said this, it’s only eleven points now from a possible twenty seven. We have to start winning matches, and quickly!

Good point but Carlos must be the Spanish version of Pulis for entertainment!

It really was. Every player putting their bodies on the line. Nullified a potent force with a makeshift defence. Fellows defended really well, even our midfielders blocking shots, creating barriers all over the pitch. The wins will come, for us and Sunderland. 5 draws in a row for them now but that just shows how competitive this league is.

It?s becoming even more clear we need more quality in our midfield as Mowatt and Mulumby are average at best. Oh for more pace and another Pereira who was a different class.

    Not impressed with Dobbin whatsoever!

It was interesting listening to Rob Ernshaw after the game. He praised our defending but was extremely critical of our lack of ambition to try and win the game. As he stated, even in the final minute we had the opportunity to attack down the left and get a cross in but what do we do? We play it back to hold out for the draw. Even if we had crossed it and lost possession there wasn’t the time for them to counter attack. He talks a lot of sense and I have to agree with his comments. Drawing so many matches is not going to get us into a play- off spot.

Was working so only able to catch occasional updates on phone but seemed like we defended well even if not a lot of creativity going forward. The stats say it all really-2 shots ( not on target) to their 17 (of which we blocked 11). That said, it was always going to be a tough game with Sunderland desperate to get back to winning ways themselves so a point at theirs is a decent result.

As an aside, I was working within earshot of Carrow Road tonight and kept hearing a very unusual noise, sounded almost like cheering from the home side Thought Borja Sainz sounded a threat against us on Saturday but that game obviously gave Norwich confidence and with players back from injury they are back to winning ways. Plymouth were obviously poor, but 6-1 ? Poor old Wayne eh?

Yes, a very disciplined and well fought defensive performance. Lot of players missing too, but, I think that was the case for Sunderland too.

But, if we are competing for promotion, why don?t we try to win vs a fellow promotion contender? If we are settling for mid table I would fully understand it, but if we are aiming for more?

Bang on there Leicester! Carlos always sets up not too lose. Normally I would have gone to that match but paying ?100 with travel etc to see that match. No thanks!

I'd like to be proved wrong but I don't believe that we have enough skill and energy in midfield to maintain our push for a play off spot. Some of our midfielders are far too lightweight and get pushed off the ball too easily. Maybe in the January window we can release some money to strengthen in that area.
