Jimmy might not rate MacDonald, but the best we have at the moment, despite being injured.
I also wouldn't be scared to give Jack Milne a run.
If he wasn't Scottish he'd get more game time.

Said at the weekend that an experienced centre back is needed in January. We have MacDonald but Thelin obviously doesn?t rate him.
I don?t think Nisbet or Sokler are the answer up front either. Both of them seem to do better when they come off the bench so we need to get a better striker in and have them as backups.
Sorry but really can?t see us getting anything on Sunday.Hearts will be really fired up for that one and our defence will crumble under the pressure.

Don't really know what to say about that apart from have watched it back a few times now and to be honest our central defending is fcuking honking.
Seriously letting the side down and certainly not doing anything to help the confidence of Mitov.
Ruby is worse than a bomb scare and Malloy just a young boy who needs an experienced calm head along side him and he will grow in to a decent central defender, but as it is at the moment from the last two games it is clear to me that the weakest link is Ruby.
What's the scopp with McDonald is he still injured or is he just not rated by JT and the staff?
Jimmy needs to change things in central defense ahead of the visit to tink castle and incoming, if he doesn't then there is a strong chance our run without a win will be extended to 4 games by the middle of next week.
Thelin is a good manager and it is obvious he has been doing somethings right but it is also glaringly obvious where our weakness is, so come on JT fix it, we know you can.
Yip there is something jist nae quite right with Nisbet, I must admit when his signing was announced I thought he was going to be a superb signing for us.
Till now he has been a bit of let down.
Don't know if that is because he is not much fit or is he just sh1te
Nesbit starts and he's either not fit or good enough. He comes off the bench then he should be staring. Same goes for Sokler.
I think our strikers look poor due to not having much to work off.
I'd like to see Duk get a run up front as our main striker. We know he can play in that position.
I feel for Sokler not having his goal as the one that got us three points. Morris was excellent again and he is going to attract interest from elsewhere after his performances under Thelin as he is a real danger.
We are creating plenty of opportunities but it seems to be McGrath and Devlin who are taking the chances more than Sokler and Nesbit.
To me Sokler is more effective coming off the bench than when he starts,Nesbit seems to have some sort of fitness issue which is probably why Millwall let him go out on loan.
Don?t get me wrong I think both of them have their uses but I just don?t think either of them should be our number one striker.
Maybe it?s worth trying Duk up front like you suggested but I guess the bigger issue we have at the moment is the centre backs anyway.
Unless we sign two CH's in January I can't see McDonald going anywhere - we're light enough at CH as it is.
I'm not going to be too harsh on Molloy. I think he needs taken out of the firing line to be honest. He's done well considering, and is doing a job that wasn't expected of him at this stage, but I think he needs to go away, hit the weights and the training room and bulk himself up a bit as he's just too lightweight for this league as it stands.
He was bought in as a project and has a lot to learn. He really needs a strong experienced CH (Anderson / Pollock type) alongside him to guide and help him through games. Ruby is absolutely not the guy for a youngster to be pitched in next to at all.
Personally, I'd play McDonald (if fit) and Ruby at Tynecastle. McDonald has the experience to cope with Ruby's "eccentricities" and he's bigger and far more experienced than Molloy. It'll be a battle there as usual so we need as much size and physicality on the pitch as possible. Palaversa needs to start as well.
Really not sure about Duk as the centre forward. He just can't hold a ball up or stay on his feet. He constantly leans back into the defender and almost always just ends up on his arse and loses the ball as a result. We defo need a proper number 9 though as its lacking just now.
We've come a long way in a short time, but have a long way to go, and I'm sure Jimmy can see the same issues that a bunch of punters on an internet forum can see, so over to you Jimmy min.
Oh and away and start speaking to Shady Mo right now about an extension. None of this wait until the last year of the contract guff - he's earned it (those are words I'd never have imagined ever using only 6 short months ago, but it's true)...

Agree about Molloy, I am sure he is going to be a player, but a lot of expectation to put on his shoulders for his first season. I don't think we will ever get much more out of Ruby though, as what you see is what you get.
We could try Molloy alongside MacDonald. The experienced head could help him a lot.
We put McDonald into the team after Robson got binned and you could see the difference he made to our fragile defence.
I'm not suggesting he is the long term answer, but we really need a bit of experience at the back at the moment.
