Have just watched the highlights again. We were never in control of that game, which suggests to me that the midfield weren?t as effective as they need to be. You can?t concede 3 and expect to win.

Totally agree we are weak in terms of numbers and quality at the back. Let?s see what Santa brings.

Am starting to get nervy about potential departures next summer. Imagine that team with no McGrath, Mackenzie, Duk. Potentially quite a rebuild coming.

Let?s get CH sorted and make plans for a loss of attacking creativity.

All that said, even if we lose the next two I wouldn?t panic given our overall points haul. We?ve overperformed to date so mustn?t panic if hit a sticky patch.

That 3rd Hibs goal is possibly the worst I?ve ever seen us concede

It?s up there with Judas catching the ball at Parkhead

I'm not going to be too harsh on Molloy. I think he needs taken out of the firing line to be honest. He's done well considering, and is doing a job that wasn't expected of him at this stage, but I think he needs to go away, hit the weights and the training room and bulk himself up a bit as he's just too lightweight for this league as it stands.

He was bought in as a project and has a lot to learn. He really needs a strong experienced CH (Anderson / Pollock type) alongside him to guide and help him through games. Ruby is absolutely not the guy for a youngster to be pitched in next to at all.

Personally, I'd play McDonald (if fit) and Ruby at Tynecastle. McDonald has the experience to cope with Ruby's "eccentricities" and he's bigger and far more experienced than Molloy. It'll be a battle there as usual so we need as much size and physicality on the pitch as possible. Palaversa needs to start as well.

Really not sure about Duk as the centre forward. He just can't hold a ball up or stay on his feet. He constantly leans back into the defender and almost always just ends up on his arse and loses the ball as a result. We defo need a proper number 9 though as its lacking just now.

We've come a long way in a short time, but have a long way to go, and I'm sure Jimmy can see the same issues that a bunch of punters on an internet forum can see, so over to you Jimmy min.

Oh and away and start speaking to Shady Mo right now about an extension. None of this wait until the last year of the contract guff - he's earned it (those are words I'd never have imagined ever using only 6 short months ago, but it's true)...
I think a big part of the problem with playing Rubezic and Molloy together is they are both relatively young and inexperienced for centre backs.

Ruby is 24 and Molloy is 23 with both of them playing roughly 100 first team games so we really MacDonald should be playing alongside one of them.

Rubezic has some attributes required to be a good defender but he needs an experienced defender beside him to make sure he doesn?t make rash decisions.

Molloy looks like he has the potential to be a good defender but I?ve noticed he is horrendously one footed.Theres been a few times at Pittodrie where he?s been in a situation that requires him to clear the ball with his right foot but he uses the outside of his left foot to clear it instead.

Looks like we will have to play them both on Sunday anyway as I?m sure Thelin said MacDonald is injured and he hasn?t been on the bench for the last 2 games.

I thought Molloy was only 20. No idea where I got that from.
