We would have been ball 56 in the 3rd round draw on Monday, we'll see how frustrating then.

Ho-hum... I thought we'd suffer a heavy reverse today, but didn't imagine it'd happen like this.

As a general trend though, it seems like this season is going the same way as the previous season. The wheel is coming off the wheelbarrow... again.

You can't get drawn away to a team at a higher level missing your best players and a number of others.
This is where I'm at. It was great that we obviously turned it around in a few minutes after going behind but it was always going to be a tough ask to beat a team that have finished in the league play-offs for the past two seasons previously once they got going and went up the gears and turned it on in the second half. Especially with the injuries we have had. It was essentially a free hit. Positives for me are Scott scoring and Abbot scoring his first goal at the death.

Matty Platt having to go off injured is a worry and concern and this is what we don't need right now and playing with ten was always going to be even harder as the game went on.

It might be a blessing in disguise to go out as the old clich? goes we can concentrate on the league starting at Walsall on Tuesday. That's what this season is about. A cup run maybe in another year.

If we win on Tuesday he'll earn back a lot of what he's just lost.

If we don't, I think he'll be in a bit of trouble.

This. You?ve only got to look at how weak our bench was to see how stretched we are right now - it had three kids on it, one of whom is a goalkeeper..

One thing recent weeks have shown is that, now they?re fit, Martin shouldn?t be getting a new contract in January and we need better than Brown if we want to go up.

Absolute nonsense. We had them in a position to go on and win the game, but our tactics were insane. They were obviously a threat winning the ball off us high, but extremely vulnerable to quick counter attacks and balls into the box. Our tactics for the second half would?ve been easy for a 12 year old on a computer game - sit deep, stay solid, forget about possession and look to hit them on the counter. As it was, we managed to concede from trying to pass the ball out from the back at about the fif****th attempt. If a manager can?t work out what he should?ve been doing for that second half, he?s got no chance, that was as obvious as it gets.

did anyone here actually see the game? The impression I got from the wireless is that we were being battered and SM went 4-4-2 to try and hang on.
