Without going down the road of who is telling the truth because often in politics it much doesn't matter .

It doesn't matter because perception is often the only show in town in politics and the Tories in my opinion haven't earned the right to be believed on this black hole matter given the pack of lies they've told , the corruption they've willingly allowed and the self serving nature of their 14 years tenure .

They haven't the right to be believed any more than Gordon Brown had when the note was left about the treasury not having any money left .

It's impossible for the treasury not to have any money given they simply instruct the Bank Of England to print some more but because of the financial crash and subsequent recession the mud stuck and there was nothing Labour could do to change that perception .

The electorate don't trust the Tories and it will be a long time before they do and they got the electoral thumping they deserved .

If ever there was a government losing an election rather than the opposition winning it then last summer was it .

Starmer couldn?t wait to allow UK missiles to be fired into Russia. Putting all of lives at a greater risk. Marvellous.

If the Bank of England could be instructed to print money then the Britain should not be in debt surely 😂

Joking apart and it?s a serious question. Does the Bank of England actually belong to Britain in the same way as the federal reserve belongs to the United States?

It's reported that over the past 5 or 6 years the US government has on average paid out $250B per year in fraudulent claims related to covid/unemployment etc. Maybe they need some better accountants?

Ever since the Federal Reserve came into existence in 1912 all currency has been a massive ponzi scheme - they create it out of thin air which saddles the public with unpayable debt. It used to be backed by gold but that idea was conveniently dropped.

The official line is that the Bank of England was nationalised in 1946.

A few points. Never said he was right or that I particularly support him, I also said IF what is written is true, we can?t be certain how much is, and there may be a chance things will get better. Labour hasn?t been in one year yet, I disagree with several announcements they?ve made, but policies need time to show a true effect and they haven?t even been in one year yet. What you?ve missed, probably deliberately, is the actual point of the hypocrisy of Tory apologists bleating loudly at every turn as if the previous 14 years never happened. I would suggest that 14 years worth of mismanagement and corruption would take longer than a few weeks to turn around even with the most sainted and honest politicians in history trying. And no, I know we haven?t got that either, but hearing Tories constantly whining and calling for a new election etc as if the countries ills are nothing to do with them turns my stomach

When Dame Andrea Jenkins was a BJ supporting Tory, she complained that Reform had offered her ?80k to switch to them.

    She has switched.

When 30pLee was a paid-up member of the Tory ranks, he said that he had been offered ?80k to switch to Reform.

    Anyone spotting a trend?
