I'm surprised and a bit disappointed that George Abbott's first goal in senior football seems to have gone pretty much unnoticed on here. I realise it didn't mean a lot in terms of the result, but it has a chance of being our 'goal of the season' and it's barely had a mention.

If you haven't seen it, you should.

It was a great goal without doubt. Not bad for a manager who didn?t want us to progress!

Well that's reassuring to know that SM had a plan. Play the last minutes +9 extra with 10 men, get a fluke goal (well taken by GA though) and then get an equalizer from nowhere and we can get back to a full team in extra time. Oooops, didn't pan out. If he (SM) had dropped into the conversation at the beginning of the FA cup games that our priority was the league then yesterday wouldn't have been such a kick in the gonads. Why did he set up in the first half to possibly win the game and then do that in the second half?

A fair few fans on my train going home had actually left the ground before the goal so when I told them about it they checked on their phones and were gutted they weren't there when it happened.

Who said it was a plan I commented on another poster who was wrong that we?d play with ten men during extra time we wouldn?t have done.

You?ll have to ask Maynard won?t you why he did what he did I mean he is human and humans make mistakes to read peoples comments on here you?d think nobody has ever dropped a b*lock before !

Instead of piling all of this on Maynard you could also ask the smartest guy in the room RM why he has lumbered us with injury prone players and not replaced Langstaff properly.

Ambition on the cheap. We have a backup squad of below average bench warmers and a head coach who is out of his depth..

Did anyone go to the FA Youth Cup tie against Fulham yesterday? We lost 4-0, which was no surprise given the huge resources Fulham will have:

Obviously impossible to know but no doubt you could conjure up stats to prove it, maybe a better question would be whether any of these managers would want a job where fans shouted for your head even when you were in a PO position despite having your best 2 players out through injury. COYP

Well he doesnt appear to be out of his depth looking at the table.

If you have below average squad players what can you expect any coach to do as at some point he will have to use said players ?

I think the owners model is good but one flaw is the coach takes all the blame whilst RM hardly gets a mention.
