Interesting to compare SM's compromised approach to squad rotation with Walsall's clear decision to field an understrength side in the cup. As critical as many have been of SM's performance on Saturday, would you have preferred him to do what Sadler did?

Drat. I did not want to read that. We can safely guess what the reaction would have been if the starting lineup was seriously under strength.

I am still annoyed from Saturday not that the substitutions were made any talk of keeping that starting eleven on all game is madness in my opinion but the number all at once was akin to waving the white flag. Although we were far from comfortable the mass changes gave them all the impetus and us a weakened side at one go.

Isn?t Ambition on the cheap a very good description of Notts and most lower league football clubs histories?

I would propose that the current owners are the furthest from ambition on the cheap we have had for a very long time. They have and continue to spend lots of money

The difference being, this guy is crap. If we dont win on Tuesday, then he has to go...

I think if we manage an away point it will be an outstanding achievement and I will be over the moon.
Especially given the current league standings.

Going to be a difficult month with 6 matches, 4 of which are away. 2 of those away matches are Walsall & MK Dons.

If you have below average squad players what can you expect any coach to do as at some point he will have to use said players ?

I think the owners model is good but one flaw is the coach takes all the blame whilst RM hardly gets a mention.

End of the day league is much more important if we go up nobody will care about a 2nd round cup match.
