For someone who is championing British jobs for British people in your other thread, your clutching of pearls (marbles) over something that quite literally isnt English, should be in Greece and shouldnt be here is quite hilarious.

Hypocrisy and British attitudes that we need to swoop in and save everyone / everything in yhe world are the exact reason why so many people flock to live here (thus enraging you and many others). We need to keep our head down and focus on our own people / country.

Elgin was granted permission to remove the sculptures with certain conditions attached, he then sold them to the UK government who now own them so it will be a government decision to repatriate them unless ownership was transferred along with the marbles.

You must be some kind of expert if you know the word for Limassol in Greek, how long have you lived there? I've never found trouble in any of the back street bars in Lemesos, Pafos or anywhere else for that matter.

As for 'banging on'. I mention the healthcare in one post and again in another in direct response to a question.

That depends if you still equate colonialism with being British? The 'Commonwealth' is a bit of an embarrassment, especially when we are forced to see African countries celebrate the British Royal family on TV. What we did to some of those countries was horrific and should not be celebrated.
